How long til I can shower again?

I had my op last Thursday. Is it a week til you can have a shower again?! Shallow baths just aren’t the same x x x

The nurse will advise at your one week post op. I had to wait an extra three days so was end of day 10 before I could shower – and even then avoiding scars and using unperfumed shower gel xxx

Omg I’m dreaming of the day of a long soak in the bath, my back is killing xxx

I know how you feel. I think it is quite a while before you can have a proper soak though. I have had some baths, but haven’t laid down in them. So tempted to but managed to control myself ha ha x

I’ve just been having shallow baths and showers. I’ll be really paranoid about having a proper bath at first. Wanna know I’m all healed proper. Seeing nurse on thurs, looking forward to seeing how incisions are healing xx

Haha I’m to stiff with the strapping to even get in bath. I can’t wait till tomorrow to have my 1st shallow bath. Yh reckon il be bit paro about it at 1st.
How have you been Misfion I remember when you had your surgery how far post op you now? Xxx

Hey @Cherry91 I am 3 weeks post op today but feels like I have had them forever!! 🙂 So glad you got through it all okay, you must be so excited to get the strapping off!! When are you next at the nurse/getting your strapping off? xx
@Rachel I was amazed how quickly my incisions closed up. I wouldn’t look in the mirror when the nurse gave me it as I didn’t want to see horrid stitches etc, but she made me look and I was really pleased. I keep looking at them and thinking – surely I can have a soak in the bath now? ha ha xx

@misfion that’s reassuring coz I am as weirdo I get really queasy!
Yesterday I got really queasy just rubbing bio oil on!! Wtf! I hardly been taking bra off because I don’t like feeling my skin being stretched!
@cherry I can’t believe it’s nearly a week since we hard our op! That’s gone sooo fast!!

Ha ha Rachel I was the same, I was so scared to rub anything on my boobs! I only touched my scars for the first time last night by mistake and instantly felt sick ha ha. Hoping I’ll get over that!! xxx

Haha so glad you 2 said that. I’m dreading seeing my stitches, hate all stuf like that. It’s going be so wired to actually see my boobs haha. Wow 3 weeks already that’s gone so fast. I was shops to get it iof tomorrow but there no way I’m strong enough to get train so iv changed it to 2 weeks post op, and going to phone the nurse to see if I can take strapping on myself but leave the plaster things on.

Omg I know Rachel it only feels like yesterday, defiantly the quickest week of my life lol xxx

@misfion ohhh no!! touching the scar! makes me light-headed thinking about it! im so glad you too have said that too coz i thought like i was a right weirdo. i went white off changing my bra, walked downstairs to ask my mum to clip me up at the back, and was white and queasy. She was like whats up with u?! im like i’ve just felt my boobs naked and the tight skin made me sickly!! she was laughing at me!
@cherry defo the quickest week ever. hopefully she will agree to taking off your own strapping. Goes without saying tho but be sooo careful!! xxx
