I don’t know how much longer I can stay sleeping on my back. I’m really struggling. I’ve been switching from my bed to the sofa but the top of my back is really sore. Any tips to help with this ?
Also how long have you all been told you have to sleep on your back ??
    Thanks xxx

I think the majority of people have been told 2 weeks but always worth a double check and maybe text your PC? Have you got anything to help you with slepeing on your back? A back rest or bed wedge? My back rest (search this on the Argos website) has literally saved me from back ache, the best £20ish I’ve spent hands down!

Ahh ok… I will double check.
I will have a look now cause I don’t think I can do anymore sleepless nights. I’ve just been sleeping with loads of pillows behind me xx

I’m 4 days po and now struggling I can only sleppy propped upright on pillows as I feel like everything is pushing on my back and shoulders lying flat ! Has anyone else had this ? I’ll look for the back support too. X

Yes! I’m feeling like this too… i slept fine the first 2 nights and last night I was literally up till about 5 or 6. I’m back to work on Wednesday so I’m hoping I can get some sleep before then. The back support looks like heaven xx

Hey ladies double check with ur surgeon and nurse as it varies. I’m 11 weeks post op and only started to lay on my side around wk6/7 because it was actually quite uncomfortable.
I still haven’t laid on either side for more than ten mins and prefer to sleep on my back.

My surgeon advised me to sleep on my back for 4wks minimum and my back rest and v pillow saved me from sleepless nights.

Despite the discomfort of sleeping on ur back it’s vital for the implants as theyre not fully settled and laying on ur side or front can apply too much pressure and may displace them. Some surgeons are mote cautious than others but in your paperwork given at pre op it does say what ur personal surgeon reccomends so check that too.

    Hope that helps fxx

Honestly, dannii is right – invest in one of those back rests and you’ll be sorted 😀 it’s defo worth the money!
