Hi Cara, I had mine about 9days ago and going back to work after 10 but only 2 days in the first week cos I have to. If I could have 2 full weeks that’d be better. Had 325 under with dr fiumara. It will depend what you’re having and size etc. And what job. For me, I probably could have made it to work (office) after one week but not less. And I’m still in pain. Just a dull, bruised ribs kind of way now with paracetamol only.
The worst effects for me were the pills – cocodamol, muscle relaxant, antibiotics. I felt awful side effects. Bloated and nauseous after all food and some vomitting. I was constantly tired. Only eating and sleeping. My worst pain day was day 2, worst side effects day was on day 5 – I took my pills in the morning and felt like I couldn’t breath and confused and out of it. But that went after a couple hours and slept it off.
Still quite bloated now but getting better now I’m off all the pills and just taking paracetamol.
After 2 days I could hold my own drink or bowl but kept arms close to my body.
After 3-4 days I could sit up out of bed on my own. Before that needed someone to lift by my back.
Day 5 I sorted and hung dry laundry but this was bad.
Day 7 went and had food out but a lot of pain. Mostly from putting coat on and off I think and trying to cut food.
Today I could lift my arms enough to force a tshirt but still need help to take it off. Still can’t reach and lift anything or bend down much. Today’s the first day I’ve liked the look of them. A little bruised but the spare is starting to look good. Hopefully they’ll soften and drop soon and look awesome.
