How many times do you go to the clinic after pre op and surgery?

Just wondering how many checks do you have? Xx

3 post op appointments i think.
I had 1 at 7 days to change dressings, I have 1 day at 16 days to remove dressings and then you meet with your surgeon at 6 weeks for final results discussion etc and then they sign you off I think xx

Ooo ok. Was just wondering as mines 2 hours away x

I had to have two pre op appointments cause my bloods needed redoing … In total I went to the clinic 7 times

I’m 2 wks po today, so far only been once for 1 wk po, got options to either go back at 2 wks to remove plasters etc or do it myself, I did it myself. Now just awaiting for 6 wks check up xx

@brookeculleton I may have to call them cause I’m a little confused … I thought there was a 6 week check but last time I spoke with them my pc said I didn’t need to book any further post op appointments??

Oh really? I saw a nurse yesterday and she said she didn’t need to see me again for 6-8 weeks but I booked another appointment st reception for what would be my 6 week post op but not sure if it’s with the nurse or the surgeon. X x
