How much difference does low/high profile make? Confused.

I’ve been told by my surgeon that (because I have one breast much more pronounced than the other) i should get a high profile implant in the smaller breast and a low profile implant in the larger breast. This is so that the smaller breast is ‘pushed’ out to match the larger boob.

I don’t think I have seen any procedures on here where the girls have picked a low profile implant? I want the most natural look I can get, but does this necessarily mean that a low profile will be best for me?

Has anyone had low profile implants from a smaller cup size to begin with that I can see? It would be so helpful! Xxxx

I don’t think surgeons use low profile unless it’s re-constructive surgery.. The natural look come when it has enough skin/muscle/fat on top of the implant to cover the edges. Bare in mind nothing looks natural for the first 2-3 months as it needs I settle. I opted for under the muscle for more natural look, but at the same time you want them big enough to make a difference otherwise what’s the point in the wasted money and pain of the surgery? So speak to couple of surgeons, ask all the questions even if you think it’s silly. Don’t be shy… Talk to them, tell them what you want to achieve, forget about the sizes/profiles. Dig out some pictures of boobs you like the look of and the ones you DONT like. Say to the surgeon “this is what I want, and this is what I’d hate”..

I’ve never heard anyone having that before! Hmm the 2 different profile will have a different width… May I ask who your surgeon?

I have heard of girls with different sized or shaped breasts having different sized implants-larger vs smaller implant could also make one look bigger and more pronounced to balance them out. Are your breasts the same size just sit differently?If so that may be just what they need but I have never heard of that before but thats not to say it wont work for you hun

Well I’ve seen two surgeons now and they have said the same thing,,. One low profile and the other extra high profile…

One of them was mr.singh from mya?

Just a bit confused, I want a natural looking fullness, I would prefer one moderate profile and the other a high profile I think?

Oh well Mr Singh is really experienced and really knows what he is doing. I used him as have thousands of other girls, I would defintley trust him. Have you said to him that you only want natural looking breasts? He will literally give you whatever you want weather its fake or natural he is a total genius!I have had high profile and they have more upper pole fullness but tbh I dont think they look very fake and I am sure once they have settled they will look even lower. I know moderate profile can flat when you lie down . Maybe he has suggested this in order to balance them out, I would see him again if I was you just to clarify and ask any questions. I saw him three times leading up to my op and he was so nice.

i had Dr singh.. If he says that’s what you need then I would trust him if it was me. But I honestly never knew they did that. xxx

I never heard of that too :/ like jessica said low profile would have a different width and extra high profile from what i heard is the smallest in width so thats a bit strange. I guess why he offered you this he must have meausured you and thought that was the best for you after all he knows what hes doing i heard good things from him. If i was you id see maybe more surgeon just to see what they offer and if they all offer same then you can put your mind at rest 🙂

Well to go into more detail, I have curvature of the spine, which basically makes my right rib age dip ‘in’ rather than out wards. My right breast is about 2 inches ‘hollower’ than my left. So I guess the surgeons are trying to figure out a way of filling that 2 inches 🙂

It is still very concerning to me that no one has heard of this being done before! 🙁

I just don’t want one breast looking smoother/flatter than the other one if that makes sense?

Oh right well that makes total sense now tbh. Please dont comapir yourself to others here tbh I felt the same I had to have very large implants to lift my breasts. After finding the forum I was in a total panick because I relaised no one else here has had the size I had. I was really nervous but I am really glad I trusted dr Singh he was totally right and has really changed my life. Everyone is unique and no two people will ever get the same results from even the same sized implant so try not to compair yourself to others. Yours seems like a unique case and I am sure Dr Singh will put everything right. I wish you the very best of luck with it all.

Lower profile have a wider width and and less projection and higher profile have a higher projection and shorter width, so it makes sense Hun xx

Defo if 2 surgeons have said this, I would trust them.. if you had the same then they will be bigger but still not equal, right? So it sounds right to me from what you have said.
