Just joined MYA site so not sure if I’m posting on the right part. I’ve just booked my consultation at chelmsford clinic for this coming Wednesday and sooo excited! I was just wondering how long you can expect to wait from consultation to operation date I’m desperate for mine. I’m a 32AA, 20 years old (very close to being 21) and 5’5″.
I tried the nhs route and after months of arguing with my doctor I finally received the funding in July 2013. Since then I have been given an operation date every 2 months and they keep cancelling for one reason or another and I can’t deal with the heartache anymore so I have scraped together all the money I have and hoping I can afford to have breast enlargement with MYA.
If anyone could let me know how long I could be expected to wait I would be really grateful.

    Thanks xx

If you have all your money and deposit ready, from first consultation with your PC you could actually get an op within 14-20 days. After your first consultation, you will then meet your surgeon (have to pay £50 if you don’t turn up) then once you’ve met your surgeon book a date! It can happen really quickly. From meeting my surgeon to my op it was about 2 weeks! Obviously in between that you will need your medical with the nurse which takes about 15 mins max. Ask your PC for dates and she will provide you with all the upcoming ones for you to choose from :). Then you just pay your 500 quid to secure your day! Xxx

    Hi Gemma,
I went for a consultation last Saturday and I am hoping to have my surgery on the 22nd August just waiting for them to come back to me! Its can be as quick as you make it the process.
MYA also have various routes you can go down for paying for the op so im sure you will be able to afford the op.

    No Problem.
I would be on the safe side Gemma, im going away on the 25th September and I was told I would need at least 5/6 weeks as im going long haul. If you going short haul you might only need 4.xx

Long haul is 6 weeks. And also any complications could happen in that time so it’s really best to make sure everything is fine before you jet off. I had my op a week ago and I go away end of august and have even completely ok’d for this. Best of luck xx

I had my surgeons appt on the 26th July and I’m having my op tomorrow. It’s gone really quick and been hassle free so far, really happy with the service. I’m sure it will def be better than your experiences with the NHS x
