How soon before I'm given my admission time and …

Hi ladies, my op isn’t until 29th June and I know it’ll be a day or two before I find out my admission time but I am on night shift and worried in case I sleep through the phone call! Or does your PC email you with it? Also, just wondering who decides what time your admission is? I’m worried as the last two operations I’ve had a few years back (unrelated ) I was sick for a few hours after and the nurses were concerned in case I was needing to be kept overnight. I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again but I’m worried in case my admission time is late in the afternoon and I don’t recover quick enough before being released. Sorry to be a pain and ask so many questions! Xx

I got my admission time through email, I got it the day before ! More then likely have an email too, don’t panic! Just keep checking your email

You will receive your time by email hunni. You can request an early time at your pre op mention it to the nurse and your PC xxx

I got my admission time via email although the nurse called and I missed it but she also texted.

I was a day case and violently sick after the anaesthesia, the nurses and dr were lovely and kept me overnight. If your not fit for discharge they will keep you xx

Thanks Lisa and Rachel, sorry I’m new to those and dont know how to tag people. Yea dan that’s what I think I’ll be like always been Ill the last few times. I might ring my nurse and request an early appointment albeit I have a 3 hr drive nearly! Xx
