How to put message under my name?

How do I put a message under my name. Getting lots of friends requests without a message or activity and would just like to put a message next to my name to say please message me first etc…

But technophobe here can’t work out how to do it!

When you go on your profile next to your picture there is a little text box where you can update a status xx

Thanks but I don’t have anything anywhere that says update status! Not next to pic under name or when I check edit profile! Strange!

if you click on your profile and then click on the tab called view, it will say whats new… i think it’s that 🙂
