How to talk to 13 year old about your BA?

So my eldest is 13 and I really don’t know how to talk to her about my BA, I don’t want to make her paranoid, but we have such an open relationship, I feel guilty not telling her! Any tips? I know she will worry about me, she panics if I go to London for a few hours! X

Hi Hun, its hard to know how to approach it isn’t it? I have 12 year and 16 year old daughters. I was quite passive about it not making it into a big deal at all so they wouldn’t think it was. told the eldest a few weeks before and she thought it was quite funny as it was a bit of a family joke that they both wore bigger bra than me! She told me not to tell my youngest, but like you we have a close relationship and I didn’t want to lie to her so I told her really calmly over tea the night before my operation, didn’t make a big deal about it at all, just told her the bare minimum and answered any questions she had. They have both been fine with it all, I think because I didn’t make it an issue or dramatic that’s how they felt about it. xx

She has seen what little I have, as she always walked in on me breastfeeding lol. She knows I wear padded bras, but that’s it X I’m just glad I’m not alone with having BA with teen girls X thank you so much once again x

Following the op neither one has really mentioned it to be honest. I told them that they wouldn’t really notice a difference as always wore padded bras id just look the same but without the padding. My eldest asked how id feel if she wanted a BA and I said that if in the future she did I would support her. My youngest about 4 days after asked for a massive cuddle and just said ” are you ok now”? as she knew id been in a bit of pain. Nothing really changed for them though, other than me being at home when they came back from school for a week, everything stayed the same, my partner just helped out more xx
