I forgot to ask my nurse / for post op ladies xx

Ladies who have had surgery, when can I drive again? I completely forgot to ask my nurse!! I don’t want to start if I can’t xx

Usually from two weeks hun. I had unders and an uplift I waited a month and it was a workout to reverse /Park still had twinges but everyone is different. U can always email ur pc or call the nurse

Hey they said a week but I was driving as of post op day 2! It’s how you feel within yourself really, and if you are taking medication such as codeine it’s kind of advisable not to. I am taking codeine and was taking it just at night. X I told my nurse today at my post op appointment and she said just to be careful not overdoing it and as long as I’m not doing massive journeys it’s alright. They do advise to wait. However it’s how you feel in yourself and like I said two days after I was driving! Xxxxxx

I was advised a week for my car and 2-3 weeks minium before returning to work (bus driver)
Most people I know have been ok after a couple of days but remember to check with your car insurance as some companies won’t cover u for up to 7 days after a general anaesthetic x

They told me a week at first but then two weeks. I waited until a week and a half or POD10 to drive and I was fine but it definitely felt weird. I’m still not able to get into reverse but I’m just starting to get used to 5th gear lol x
