I literally can’t cope

My surgery date is in 11 days and I’ve switched to zero nicotine in my vape 3 days ago and I can’t actually cope with the mood swings like I don’t understand how they can expect people to just stop smoking like it’s that easy I feel like I should be excited about getting a boob job but I’m just dreading the full leading up to it nervous and dying for a tab ? is literally crying over everything aswell. Help

No I just vape but it’s got nicotine in it xx

I vape too and if I’m honest I carried on with mine I can’t survive with out it ? I only have 3mg in mine! & I smoked it before and after and I’ve had no problems! I think it’s worse if you smoke actual cigs I wouldn’t worry to much xxx

It’s not like complications I’m worried about it’s ahout getting to the day of surgery and them doing a nicotine test and then sending me all the way home and cancelling my surgery that’s what I’m worried about ? xx

Hi! I had to go nicotine free too. I vape a lot but was only on 3mg. I halved the nicotine for 2 days to 1.5mg then went to 0. I bought cold shots in a zero too (you know the ones like blackcurrant tunes etc) so I still got a fake hit at the back of my throat. I also bought some nicotine test strips of ebay and I was clear in about a week. I’d paid in full so had a lot of money riding on it and wasn’t going to risk it! Try extra strong mints too xx

How do they test for nicotine on the day x

I know I’ve bought them strips too and I’ve got the menthol liquid in to give me a fake hit but it just doesn’t seem to work and annoys me more haha I know it’s alot of money did you get tested Jodie? Xx

Dazzelea when they dip your urine for a pregnancy test they dip it for nicotine aswell but I’m not sure if they do t for everyone or just random ones x

I didn’t even know they did that ? I didn’t get mine tested anyway they definitely would of found nicotine in mine I was a nervous wreck waiting in the car to go in because I was nervous ?? so was puffing like a chimney xxx

Hahaha I’ve read it on the mya website but I’ve only seen a handful of people get tested and it would just be my luck I did, did you tell them in your consultation that you smoked a vape? Xx

My surgeon has told me he will be testing me on the day and won’t operate if he sees anyim a smoker I’m having revision by a different surgeon wasn’t tested last time I’m having my op on the 21st of may just gonna get my driving test out they way on Thursday and then have a go at quitting x

No I don’t think I told them because they didn’t ask ??!! I just read it in the paperwork I wouldn’t of coped without my vape it’s my life haha xx

I know but I actually enjoy smoking it aswell hahah I like smoking which is even worse It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t really like smoking I just couldn’t stop but I love it ? ahhhhhhhh I’ll see how far I get haha I just feel sorry for my fiancé having to put up with me x

Oh no!!!! My op is on 1st April and I vape all day every day. I didnt have a client they can test you!! Does that mean I’ll have to stop now? Don’t want to risk not having surgery

Well yeah I mean in hindsight you should just incase they do test you for nicotine and it comes back positive and they cancel your procedure ? it’s such a pain Hun xx

I do think most wont get tested but deffo go for the ice versions of the vape juice .. I quit actual smoking to pay for
My surgery so if I can do that then your be fine vaping 0% is better than not being able to do anything and the second your on the way home you can go back to normal .. I panicked about having metal hair extensions in it was all I could think about and they didn’t even ask or check but it ruined the excitement so 0% it

Not every surgeon tests.. But if they do and its positive they will refuse surgery and you won’t get a refund. That’s what I was told! So I’m playing by the rules just in case because I don’t have another £xxxx to throw around x

I’m 6 months post op now I had 450cc unders and I vape constantly and I was so scared about them cancelling my op! But I also heard that testing your for nicotine is not aloud and not true so I’m unsure weather it is or it isn’t I did get a pregnancy test the morning of my operation though! That was all I was tested for I did try to give up leading up to my op but I got so stressed their was no way I could do it so I was vapping the whole time and soon as I come out my operation aswell x

If u have no nicotine in your vap u will be fine babe

Hi who is your surgeon? I had Dr Mashadi and he made me do a nicotine test, which was a strip test that detects nicotine for up to 4 weeks. I was on patches up to 2 weeks prior to my op and I failed the test so if I was you I’d get off your vape as well. It’s anything that contains nicotine, so patches, vapes etc and it wasn’t a blow test it was like a pregnancy test which is either negative or positive, honestly he nearly wasn’t going to perform on me. I had to grovel and I was absolutely gutted because I’d genuinely not smoked and the nurse id seen prior knew I was on patches and said I’d be okay. Luckily enough for me he went ahead with my op. A lady before me had failed and blamed it on passive smoking and he refused hers, also a friend of mine went for a tummy tuck and she failed the nicotine test and she was refused then too with a different surgeon! Xx
