Implant removal

Just wondered if anyone had regretted their procedure and considered removal? Obviously i know i have the addition of incision scars now but wondering if they would still appear like my pre-op breasts and if the existing tissue would be the same? Pretty sure my skin would decrease ok due to high elasticity but realise it’s not the same as receeding after breast feeding x

Ive been seeing all the problems you’ve had Claudine & I’m gutted for you. Have they not suggested any more surgery to help rectify for you? Xx

Is it to do with a particularly bad recovery?

I am having a removal, but also a replacement to achieve a larger size. xxx

Im not sure if they would go back tbh as like you say it’s not the same as feeding coz they decrease in size gradually and die ppl are let with very deflated saggy boobs still, this would be an imdiate and fast decrease in size, are u not able to have revision surgery? Ive seen a few of Ur posts about your complications its awful you are feeling this way after being excited xx

Hi all sorry im just replying first chance ive had, no it’s not the recovery i did have a hard one but alot do, im just so confused about what my next option would be, in order to close the gap (well not close it i know thats impossible) but to be able to at least have tje implants sitting in a position where i could use a bra to create clevage then removal of HPs and replacement of UHPs would help, it would take away some of the side boob which is currently all i have and give me a little more projection, idealy if they were placed over this time that would be even better but i allready have significant visible rippling on the right at the side so going over could take that rippling to the clevage so that’s not an option.
I fully take that on board but i just don’t feel like im getting to the actual root of my problems….rippling we know is caused by not having enough tissue, yes my breast’s were small but i did have tissue whereas alot of girls are going from an AA, but my main confusion is if it was caused by lack of tissue then why is my smaller breast free of rippling? You can quite clearly see in my pre-op pic my right breast is much bigger and rippled all round?? Yet my left is firm sits well and i can’t even feel rippling. My right is droopy it looks like it’s on it’s way to double bubble it’s very square and bottom heavy (makes me wonder if an uplift was needed)
Also i appreciate when lying down they will pull to the side but again my right is jutting out further by the week and it’s like that when im stood up, if i even slightly lean back it dissapears it’s very loose i can actualy get my hand behind the implant, im very keen to have a re-aug but can’t ignore the muscle situation i think there is a big problem with that on the right that will return if there placed under again.
Nearly 5 months post op it’s very weak i still can’t navigate pushchair up kerbs or open nurofen bottles etc….when i flex my pectorals my left breast simply tightens a little and no pain, when flexing the left it jumps up and to the side and it is painful, i think the rippling is being caused by the muscle forcing the implant down because it makes no sense that it would be so bad in the bigger breast and non existant in the smaller.
It’s just making me think if i can’t get to the bottom of what’s really wrong then removal is best for now, on my last consultation the first thing the surgeon said was ‘do you wan’t me to remove them maybe you don’t like having implants’ keeps ringing in my head making me think maybe he feels this is the best they will ever be but did not want to say that and upset me, i’ll add some pics to explain what ive described, also since i last saw him my implant on the left has folded out underneath my own breast tissue, you can only see it slightly so it would only be me or my husband who ever saw it but it feels awful, it feels like there is nothing at all covering it xxx
First pic, top is obviously lying down, middle is with muscle flexed and bottom both breasts relaxed

Second pic, top is pre-op, i had 375 in each breast so the larger breast has obviously remained larger but did have quite a bit more natural tissue so surely it should not have that much rippling when there is none in the left, the middle pic sorry just a repeat of before and bottom pic just showing the strange shape xxx

3rd pic is where you can now see the implant at the base, obviously you can’t see it clothed but it feels awful, most bras are incredibly painful to wear (i have 2 now that stay comfy for a few hours they are Pretty Polly) it’s hard to explain but because of the different size and shapes of them they just cant sit right in any type of structured bra so im mainly wearing crop top/soft bras but they have little support so this worries me also for the longevity of my BA.

Claudine what do your breasts look like in clothes or s bra? I can see why you are upset and I feel annoyed that the surgeon was not reassuring to you and instead our doubt in your mind by trying to blame it on you and saying maybe you don’t like implants. I think he is probably been defensive but really what you need is some reassurance that they will either get better or they can be fixed.
I honestly think that you are maybe just a late settler and possibly in a years time they will be fine and all settled and look great! Xx

I’m having similar problems to you and I may have to have mine removed. I can feel the rippling of the implants mainly in my left breast and it’s horrible and also quite painful for me. It’s horrible to think how excited we both were and had nothing but continuous problems. I don’t think my body likes the implants And I’m the same with bras they look nice in bras and my gap pulls in a bit but every bra I buy is uncomfortable. I guess we are just unlucky let me know what you decide to do because at this rate I’m going to have to have mine removed to x

Does anyone know how much the removal of implants costs? :/

Aww did you have a gap before ? If you did you’ll have one after. I’ve just come out of surgery xxx

Feel so bad for you, iv not had mine done yet, op is on sat!!
Suffered with periductal mastitis (inflammedbreast ducts due to smoking,) gave it up Nov, get slight pains now and then in right breast (maybe anxiety/fear) and worrying myself SICK that the implants will kick start it off or cause infections and will have to have them removed….then left with saggy excess skin….literally petrified as it’s a massive amount of money wasted too as well as confidence gone…. hope you find a soloution to this, thinking of you xx

Aww my friend had unders then swapped to overs a year later as she couldn’t get a cleavage and now they are perfect 🙂 would your surgeon suggest overs maybe and a smaller implant might be an option. I hope you get it sorted Hun it’s a lot of money to be thrown away 🙁 xx

Tbh it looks like implants chosen for u was to big id aay :/ almost like theve struggled to get them in which is bad on the surgeons behalf who was ur surgeon x

I’m so shocked the surgeon said that too you! I agree with a previous comment, he should have been reassuring instead of being defensive!
I know it can take up to a year, maybe your body is just taking a really long time to adapt? The muscle does seem quite tight still.
I’d hate for you to get them removed if it was a case of waiting and they’d eventually settle in a lot further down the line 🙁 i can appreciate how upsetting it must be 5 months on. Did the surgeon say it could be part of a slow healing process or did he not offer any explanation at all?
