Incision site 5WPO – reddening & bleeding overnight

Hi girls,
Has anyone else had this?
I’m almost 6 weeks post op & was sure that the incisions were fully healed. I took my sport bra off this morning and there was a bit of blood. I can see where it has bled from & the skin around looks a little pink at that end of the incision.

Here’s a photo, I can also see another stitch is almost breaking the skin half way along x

Oh no. I would think by week 6 it would all be okay.i can’t advise as only 4 days post op myself but hope it’s all okay for you. It doesn’t look bad though so hopefully nothing serious. Ring them up and check to be sure hun xxx

Hi Tracy,

My nurse told me that it can take 3 months for the insisions to fully heal and that during this time even white fluff will work its way out!?! Did you have dissolvable stitches? Sometimes there are stitch knots on the inside, so it may be them just working their way out as part of your healing.

Maybe just send your nurse a pic for peace of mind, but I’m sure they’ll be okay. Xx
