Need some advice as iv read different. My incisions are raised and bumpy and you can see where the stich has come out in a few places. Im 3 weeks post op. What is the best thing to make them heal? Am i meant to leave them alone for another 3 weeks or can i put sudocrem/ bio oil on them? I have also seen something saying its good to massage them?
Any advice would be great, thanks xxx
Hi , I was advised by the nurse not to put any creams or oils on incisions for 6 weeks until it’s properly healed . Wait until your 6 weeks post op assessment with the nurse and ask for advice …
I’m 6 weeks post op. Mine were raised and bumpy at that stage, it’s just the swelling/stitches. Your stitches should come out as if yours are like mine they are dissovable. Don’t put anything on them though until week 6 and you should heal just fine :). The only time you need to worry is if they look really red and sore xx
