Incisions

Hey girls, I’m 25 days post op and I’m fairly happy with my incisions so far. Just wondering when will it be safe for me to start applying scar creams on them? I scar quite easily so the earlier the better to reduce the appearance, but I don’t want to irritate them by applying Mederma or Bio Oil too soon x

I was always told nothing on your scars for 6weeks but would check with ur nurse x

Hey hun i’ve started putting bio oil on now and I’m 6 weeks.

Thanks girls, I’m going to call my nurse and see what she says, I feel like if I started now my incisions will be ok because they don’t hurt or sting anymore x

I started to use scar cream about 2.5 weeks after surgery as soon as they start to look “pink”. I am healing easy and quite quick. Looking at your pic I would start to use scar cream asap. Sooner u will start-they will be less visible later. I am using german cream (gel)called Contractubex.You can find it on ebay
