Incisions/ blood

Okay so I’m ten days post op and I had the plasters taken off on day seven snd the nurse said that im healing brilliantly, I’ve been putting the cotton pad things between my incisions and bra and there are tiny dots of blood and yellowy colour, I think I’m over worrying as they’re only tiny but I just wanted to check that this is normal?? Anyone else had this? Xx

Totally normal. I still had bits of blood at about 3 weeks

I actually stopped covering them up wuth the steri strips and let air get to em and they improved quickly and bleeding/oozing stopped.

I’m worried that my sports bra will rub though and make them worse xx

I don’t think it’s steri strips that I have it’s just like cotton pads, is that the same thing? Xx

Steri strips are like thin plasters. I was worried my sports bra might rub but its the m&s zip front and sits low so dusnt rub on the incisions.

Ahh okay, did the nurse give you those or did you buy them? I’ve put some pics up of my incisions, they look a bit messy compared to other people’s at my stage, I’m starting to freak out a bit haha xx

Yer nurse giv me them. Ive looked at ur pics mine looked worse than that so I wouldnt worry.
