SO i had my Op 3 weeks 3 days ago and in general my incisions are healing amazingly. Shockingly so. The problem is the incisions underneath my boob. At the junction of where the incisions meet… The seems to just be a hole filled with puss maybe? they dont seem to be drying up and at the end of the day when i take my bra off to check my brea is crusted over with goo. It was even bleeding a little yesterday. I dont know if this ir normal or anything to worry about??
Would sleeping one night without a sports bra on (on my back not moving obviously) help and maybe dry the holes/puss up?
I have the same thing. One incision is fine but other has been oozing and bleeding. Ive changed steri strips today and nurse told me i can take them off for good in 3 days.
Ive uploaded pics showing my good one and my not so good one.
When you go in at your one week check up do they put another plaster on or are they just left then? Maybe you could ask your nurse about putting plasters on again until they heal properly? Xx
Kelbel cud yoy please have a look at my incision pics as Im worried one of them isnt right.
Im 9 and a half weeks post op and my scabs just fell off last week on both boobs.. in fact i think i can still feel a small scab on one of them.
I remember them driving me mad because i had all healed up except the t junction underneath and i couldn’t have a bath till they had healed. When i took my bra off for a shower the bra would rip the new scab off because it was stuck to the bra. Nurse said it was fine and healing great and wanted it to be left open (no dressing) because it had to dry out.. i started to not wear a bra at night to let them breath and in the daytime i would slip a bit of loo roll there to mop up any fluid coming out coz it was making a mess of my bra all the time.. After my shower i would lie on my bed with them out for over an hour to let them dry and they did eventually dry up and scab over without leaking. And as I said..the scabs dropped off last week 🙂
So try and let them breath after a shower.. just lie on your bed and do nothing..watch a film ..go on facebook.. just let them dry naturally.. Maybe not wear a bra at nightime but you had implants so i cant comment on that as i didn’t. When ever you get the chance… take your bra off and lie on the bed ..all day if you want… thats what made mine dry and heal

Hey Laura, are the inflamed?? If so check with the nurse, the first time I went they said it wasn’t an infection but I was sure it wasn’t right so went for a second opinion an that’s when I was told it was so better to check xxx
I rang out of hours nurse just to be on safe side as its oozed a bit more. Sed it cud be bodies natural reaction to reject the dissolvavle stitches which theres nothing u can do other than keep it covered & will just take longer to heal or cud be infection. Nurse is gona call me on mon.
She saud its best to keep them covered gor now which they are as put new steri strips on after shower and said if i have any further problems before monday to ring back.
They are defintly red and think they are inflamed the more i look at pic and the right side if pic theres a tiny bit thats open. Obviously cant see them now as they are covered up so dunno if they are any worse or better.
Will be a bit annoying if i have to go back to see nurse on monday as i have already been twice and im only 18 days post op and its 1hr 30 min journey there and back and gotta arrange childcare.
