Incisions sitting different, is this normal???

Hi. Im just a bit worried as one of my incisions seems to be sitting a lot higher up my boob than the other, I thought they are meant to be at the crease?! I did have slight asymmetry before op but not really noticeable could this be why? My boobs are also sitting completely different too and one nipple is pointing down & the other normal :/ im only 2 wks post op though so hoping they correct themselves. I had 375cc overs from a 30A xx

Hi hun, it’s completely normal for one breast to settle faster than the other. I came out of surgery with one breast looking bigger than the other and one of my nipples is pointing outward and the other is normal so don’t worry too much hun. This should all settle down. Other than that, how is your recovery going? Xx

My recovery is going brill thanks hun. 1st week was in a bit of pain but no where near as bad as I imagined it. Ill be 2 wks post op tomorrow and im pretty much bk to normal doing almost everything inwas before op. Only pain im getting is a little 1st thing on a morning & a little if I lift my arms up too high. Only thing Im not doing is lifting my 9month old daughter, I do lift her sometimes when needed but I dont lift her right up I just use my leg strength Instead of my arm strength. But getting there slowly thanks hun 🙂 xx

That’s good to know, I’m only 4 days post op. Do u mean that one incision seems higher than the other? This could mean one breast has dropped more than the other? Xx

Aww fab. How are u feeling? What size did u have hun? No I mean 1 incision is like a quater way up my boob n the other one is normal at the crease. Have a peek at my pics hun n ull see what I mean xx

Do u mean up the crease of your boob heading towards your arm pit or do u mean on your actual breast front part that u can see? X

I just had a look hun, in all honesty I’m not sure but I know what you mean. The incision is slightly higher up your actual breast and not positioned in the crease. I’m hoping one of the other girls will know the answer to this. If not perhaps ask the nurse when you see her next? Xx

@floralena I’m not too bad thanks hun. I had 550cc overs. Been taking all my meds so pain is at bay at the moment lol xxx

@danielle. Im not too sure cos I cudnt tell which boob was bigger before my op. I didnt even realise I had slight asymmetry until the surgeon mentioned it. It must have only been a bit as I didnt notice ut myself. Xx

@floralena I have a similar thing and the incision is higher on the boob that was smaller and had the larger implant. Maybe when they drop the incision then goes into the crease? X

That’s the same as me. The incisions seem to be in different places. I keep looking at them and wondering why!! Xx

Just had a look and I see what u mean. I’m guessing your still quite swollen?
When’s your 6 week check? X

@fionaajsd. I dont think I have much swelling now hun no. My 6wk check is 30th april I think will have to double check xx

@floralena That’s my guess anyway. I was worried because my boob that was smaller is still smaller and the incision was higher but then someone said my boobs needs to adjust to the implant so that’s why it’s taking longer to drop. So I’m assuming my it drops to join the other boob the incision will then be closer to the crease x

@floralena. That all does make sense hun I really hope thats the case. I didnt have one bigger size though I dont think. Mournir said he will if he needed to but dont think he did cos I asked the nurses when I came round if he fitted the 375 in n they said yes nothing about any different sizes. I didnt get to see him after the op either which I was a bit dissapointed with. Would have like to ask him personally what he had put in xx

I’m 3 weeks post op now. Incisions are fading but can still see the difference! Xx
