    Hey

I’m 8 days post op today following 375;405cc partials. So far my recovery has been uneventful, was sent home with paracetamol, ibuprofen and the stronger painkiller dihydrocodiene. However, for the first week I took paracetamol and ibuprofen twice in the whole time. I mostly used ice packs and wasn’t in that much pain. I’m now 8 days post op and the pain has really increased, my boobs are just constantly aching and throbbing so much so that I’ve taken the dihydrocodiene as I can’t sleep and haven’t slept the past 2 nights 🙁 I think they might be dropping and fluffing so is this pain normal as they start to soften? The whole way round my rib cage is really sore too and I’ve given up trying to find a bra that is comfortable (sticking to my macom at the mo)

I’ve already had my 1 week post op check up with the nurse and she was happy with everything and my incisions are healing really well.

Just panicked this pain is going to stay like this as I’m back to work next week :/

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Xx

Hi Emma, I noticed increased pain around my ribs too. I’ve had a really tight feeling right the way round until day 6 and since this has eased off some yellow bruising has come out so maybe it’s the pain that was underneath the swelling and tightness that’s painful for you?
Also you might just be getting the feeling back which is causing you some discomfort, but I think that’s normal at this stage as swelling goes and things are healing nicely. I’m having twinges in my left incision and my nipple has gone really sensitive and sore on that side with the odd stingy twinge every few mins so maybe that side is healing quicker.
Asda have brought out a new high impact sports bra and I swear it’s like heaven! It’s pink and white and has a zip front, I can’t show you s picture cause it’s not online yet. I tried on a 34e yesterday and it was so comfortable and soft, especially round the band area which is what I’m desperate for. That size was just a bit too loose but they had no other suitable sizes in that store so I’m on the hunt now. Definitely worth trying on if you’re still uncomfortable in your bra xxxx

Hey hun, I’m only four days post op, and my pain had gone from the top of my breasts which were agony the first three days, to underneath my arms on my ribs. Also wondering if it’s normal, but I was just thinking that I might be getting feeling back as my left incision is suddenly really itchy! I feel really bruised this morning, but it’s a much nicer feeling than the pain I was on before! Hope it subsides for you soon xxx

Thanks ladies. I know what you mean @lucy my bruising has started to come out more so maybe it is just everything healing up and repairing itself! I’ve also probably done too much too early so maybe that’s why I’m a bit more achey now.

Just wish I could get a good nights sleep, slept fine semi upright the first 6 days but now
I just can’t get comfy or drop off!

    Xx
