Insicions so far

I’m 6 days post op and my plasters were hanging off so I’ve just peeled them off to change the big dressings.
Luckily I’ve got practically no bruising at all which I’m pleased about!

Been to see the nurse today as I’m 1 week PO, she said I am healing very well and she was surprised about the lack of bruising.
My insicions are looking super neat (photos are before they were cleaned) and are probably about 3cm long.
Still not allowed to shower unfortunately :'(

Does it feel like you can still feel the stitches, one of mine feels really painful

Hi Stacey, they called me at 10am as I was getting in the car to leave to tell me the nurse was ill and would have to rearrange, I told them there was no way I wasn’t being seen today because we’d already paid for a hire car and we live 70 miles away from the clinic!
I ended up seeing a Vaser nurse instead.
No my stitches feel ok, my dressings had almost completely peeled off yesterday so I had to change them.
When I was there today and had the small plasters underneath taken off I was a bit terrified that it would have pulled because of the dry blood on them but it was only the sticky annoying parts that I felt!

Have you had icepacks on them at all?

No nothing I thought I was doing well until yesterday I’ve taken my dressings off and cleaned then with sterile solution and they look ok they aren’t red or anything but one is really starting to annoy me with the dull stinging pain. I get people can be ill but how am I supposed to know if I can shower for the next two weeks…

They’ve told me to wait another week for a shower, although Im healing perfectly and have no problems?
