Is my incision infected?

I am 4WPO and my right side has healed really nicely.
Over the last few days my left has been painful and red and raised. It has a black and green scab which looks like there’s a hole behind it. The scab has been weepy and green pus has come out of it. Do you think it looks as though it’s infected. I don’t want to trouble my nurse if it’s nothing x

Green puss could very well mean infection
Get it checked out xx

I’d definitely get it checked out, better safe than sorry x

Mine was quite similar but not as raw and i had to have a stich removed which hadnt desolved properly under one boob. Defo get it checked out but dont worry too much because it may just be that Xxx

Hi heather, I’m 4WPO too and I’m having the same problem. Mines very pink around one corner (not weeping or painful though). Not really sure what to do for the best, let us know what your nurse says, I hope you’re all good xx

Hi im a nurse and to me it lools infected slightly as its still.lso quite red round the edges..it otherwise looks nice and neat though so if it is then its early on and i would magine easily treatable without the incision looking messy.

It look like is is healing nicely but it does look infected, also with it been quite red, is it hot when you touch it as thats another sign of infection. I would send the pictures to your nurse is you can to get there opinion. Where you given antibiotics at the hospital I read people say they get given a weeks worth to prevent infection xx

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies.
I am feeling rough today and I’m guessing it’s from the infection, have had a bit of a temp, in pain with it and it is weeping a green pus discharge and blood quite a lot now that it is coming through my macom.
The actual area to touch isn’t anymore hot than the rest of my body. I did have the weeks worth of antibiotics but obviously I’m 4WPO now so they don’t last that lol lol… have no idea why it’s become infected now I’v been so careful with them, my right side looks great and has healed so well.
My nurse called me this morning and has made me an appointment to go in and see her tomorrow afternoon so hopefully I’ll get some antibiotics and get it sorted if needed xx
