Isolating before surgery?!

My surgery was cancelled back in may due to covid and i’m hoping to rebook for september/october time (not with mya) i’ve seen a few girls have been told they’ve had to isolate for two weeks before their op (i’ve seen non cosmetic people have to do this for operations too and it makes sense!)

however i wouldn’t be able to have another two weeks off work before my op as i’m already having two weeks after and i’ve lost holiday due to being furloughed! Has anybody with a later surgery date (after september) been told they might not have to isolate before?

Hey Charlotte, have you found out if you do have to isolate 2 weeks before op? I would not be able to do this with work also!

Hey girls,
I am in the process of selecting my surgery date just now and was asked by my PC if i can self isolate for two weeks prior to surgery as it is a government requirement currently. The dates offered were vaired through to Christmas but the question was still asked, so i would assume yes for now.

ah thanks girls! this is stressing me out!

i haven’t got a date yet after it being cancelled just hoping for one around september october as it would be ideal for my plans. But if i have to isolate before i think i’ll end up waiting till next year when i don’t have to 🙁

Yeah it’s very confusing at the minute, my surgery is booked for December now so hopefully I won’t have to. Maybe ring them and ask them if they think you’ll still have to isolate in October?
A week isn’t too bad Leah I wouldn’t mind doing that but 2 weeks is a bit too long to take off work as well as 2 weeks recovery. Corona is stressing me out now 😭😩. It will work out, trying to stay positive. Xx
