Itching from my strapping!! What can I do to help it?

Hello ladies, I am 5 days PO and have been told to keep my strapping on until Monday when I see the nurse. I have terrible itching all over my boobs- more so on the sides and it’s driving me insane! Have had ice packs on and damp towels but only helps it a little bit. Im debating whether to take the strapping off now? It’s unbearable and can’t really do anything else apart from itch! I’m worried that if I take the strapping off now ill affect the healing process. Has anyone got any suggestions/advice?
Or had the same itching problem? Please help!

It will prob still itch love even if you take your strapping off, it may b the stretched skin or the cuts healing that can cause the itching anyway yes I have a miracle answer I was the same but not with strapping as I didn’t have any I was just in a sports bra.

I had mine off yesterday and nearly itched my new boobs off before that. I kept them on because I was scared of infection and I thought maybe the straps were keeping them in place or something lol.

I wish I had posted this and knew about Piriton. Hope it helps!

So glad I did post this as I thought maybe it was just me! I’ve bought the Piriton now- it does seem to be helping….although I’ll see for sure tonight! I’ve still got the strapping on and tbh agree when I don’t want to get the incisions infected. But it is pretty gross viewing….! Stickiness everywhere and bits beginning to peel off. Am literally counting the days until Monday…but dreading the thought of going back to work too. Really need another week off really 🙁 am so exhausted…and I’m not doing anything! I’m hoping once I finish the antibiotics I’ll feel more normal again. Thanks for all the advice ladies…really does help. XxxxX

Did u have Mr kazzazi? If so that tape does cause u to itch u do itch abit after its off as the skins been stretched but the tape is so tight and sticky it just makes u scratch. I eased some of mine off in places like under the armpits and on the back n top of boobs. Nurse said it was fine. It helped quite abit xxx

If its bothering you do much of defo take it off. I had large implants and I didnt have no strapping and most girls don’t. It’s only the surgeons preference. I assume your incisions have their own plasters on anyway

Yea char the incisions have dif plasters. I hated it I asked nurse y and she just said its cause it keeps swelling to a minimal and fluid etc but had drains anyway so had barely any swelling etc my skin is sensative so I had sires all in my back n under arms n under boobs…horrible stuff. Xxx

Well everyone that hasn’t had them seem fine so I wouldn’t worry about taking them off, it must be awful been itchy
