Hi I have a 20 month old and am a single parent. I do however live at home with my mum and she’s taken the week off of work. I’ve also had a pain free, very quick recovery. I’m day 5 post op and looking after him myself completely fine today as my mums come down with a sickness bug (not great timing). I would say it’s been sooooo much easier than I could of ever imagined. I haven’t lifted him and had to use steps up to the sink etc and my mum lift him in and out of his cot but I’ve done the rest of the routines. We’ve spent a lot of time in the house watching films more than usual and doing crafts like playdough. l’ve slept when he does in the day and gone to bed early not long after he does. I would recommend help for 4/5 days. I had overs too. I think after child birth and being stretched before you don’t have the very tight stretched feeling (my nurse said this) xx

Thankyou Amy. Aww glad to hear you’ve got a good recovery! It’s nice to speak to someone who has children. I’ve got a 6 year old and very boisterous 3 year old twin girls ? I’ve got my partner at home who will help me out as he’s self employed so can take the time off. I’m just no good with pain, yes I know that sounds daft considering what I’m having done I just hope it’s fast and I’m not bed bound for weeks lol. So what was you before and what cc and profile did you go for? Xx

Hi Hun I had 400/430 UHP overs with mr Mounir 9th may I have a 2 year old . Luckily for me his grandparents looked after him for 5 days but after day 3 I was able to wash my hair very carefully And go for a short walk ,thesis wasn’t bad and I’m not good At taking pain . I think it felt like I’d been hardcore in the gym and torn a muscle in my chest and arms but honestly if you coped with child birth it’s a breeze . Best thing I ever did . I only took pain killers for 4 days and now nearly 3 weeks post op and back to normal . The only thing I’ve not done is go gym but do go walking and do homework . Good luck Hun x

I have a 2 year old, in all honestly I couldn’t of looked after him luckily my partner did everything changed him, bathed him lifted him fed him etc even took him out for the day so I could rest. I didn’t have a nice recovery at all I was achy I felt rough! Kept being sick or feeling sick. Everyone’s different so be aware cos I was not prepared for this at all before my op not like I thought I was, before I went for my op I thought I’d be one of these that would cope absolutely fine, I was not expecting to feel the way I did!!
Most the time I slept but I think that was down to the cocodamol I was taking for the pain, I stopped that around day 4-5 and slowly saw progress I was feeling a little human again! By a week post op I could lift my 2 year old but only took it easy when doing so! Still had to be careful. I’m almost 2 weeks post op now, and I still ache but mainly in the mornings but pretty much I’m back to normal 🙂
Still have to be careful with things tho! Plus I drove my car by day 6. The nurse told me if you’ve given birth your sail through this easily xxx

Sorry for the late reply girls… Wow it’s true that everyone is different. I’ve got every bone crossed that I’m going to be one of the lucky ones and recovery fast haha. Yeah I have the help from my partner and my mum will be helping out too so that’s nice to know. Us mums can handle anything if we’ve given birth ?? haha… Got my surgeon consultation Thursday so hopefully I will find the size I like, is it easier when your there and you see it all? Xx
