Keeping strapping on for 7 days after BA and uplift

Hi girls, is it normal to keep the strapping on for a whole week after surgery? Surely my dressings would need to be changed after a few days, wouldn’t I be more prone to infection if they’re not changed for a week?? I’m worried as I keep swing on the forum that lots of people are getting infections xx

Ah ok, the strapping is annoying me already! Want it off! Lol but that’s probably because I’m in pain and feeling stiff! I’m just praying I healok xx

Yeaa I had mine on for a week too 🙂 I feel your pain, I kept getting really itchy and just wanted to rip it off haha! xx

The pain is getting worse, it’s bearable but I just know tomorrow is going to be awful! They discharged me with just ibuprofen!! so I asked for something stronger and got cocodamol. I just want to see them!! Lol xx

Hey I took my strapping off after 3 days because the strapping was giving me problems with my skin. I just popped a sports bra on instead but have left bandages on? How many days you been strapped up for? X

I only had it done yesterday so not long lol I have my post op appt next weds so they will take the strapping off then. I spoke to my patient co-ordinator earlier and she said not to worry about having it on for a week and that I shouldn’t get any infections as long as I dont get any of it wet xx
