I had it done in March – on the NHS at a private hospital! (After 20 years paying my tax/NI contributions!!) Had no idea it could be on the NHS and was willing to pay after years of thinking about it.
Anyway, I went to my doctors, asked to see a lady, and told her it was uncomfortable, affected my confidence,sex life etc.Didn’t cry when describing it though.
Within 3 weeks it was done, hardly any pain after – slight discomfort for a week!!
No loss sensation- actually better, as flaps don’t get in the way (LOL)
The lady surgeon said labiaplasty has slipped through the ‘red tape’ and can still be NHS if psychologically affecting you.
I’m now paying for BA and rhino as it has given me the confidence to sort out the 2 other areas that have bothered me for 20 years!!
It was the 1st time I’d had a general anaethetic, and I was scared walking down to theatre, but asleep within minutes and SO SO happy now!!!!
