My op is on Tuesday and i still have not received my admission time. Has anyone else only received theirs the day before? x
I received mine on the Wednesday at 5pm. My admission was the following day at 7am!
Thanks Leanne, thats reassuring to know. I just feel like something will get wrong and it will be cancelled haha. been waiting for ages for this day to come.
I find it crazy that Mya give you them literally the day before. How are you supposed to make arrangements for travel/staying over with such short notice? I was given my admission time at the same time when booking my bed! (9 weeks before my op) xx
exactly, not great with 3 kids and dogs to get organised with. Hopefully its not 8am lol. wow thats amazing you were told so early on x
I was in on a Tuesday and I didn’t receive mine until the Monday 🙂 I was a 7am 🙂 xx
Wow Lauren thats early!! Hopefully i will get my time tomorrow first thing so i can get organised x
I’m not with Mya Julie, so it’s obviously a different process. How will you manage the kids and dogs if you’re given a crazy early last minute admission time? Mines 9:30am but I’m staying overnight in a hotel in Manchester, close to the hospital. Are you far from your hospital? Xx
I didn’t even realise they did admission times as early as 7 am Lauren!! How did you manage with that? Xxx
I was in on the Wednesday and didn’t find out my admission time until the Monday at around half 4. I was flapping and ringing them and emailing my PC but it’s because the hospital don’t give them the times until a few days before I was told xx
@katiep369 I was ok, left the hotel at 6.30am but i was buzzing and awake hehe excitement had definitely kicked in to wake me up! Xxx
i still don’t have my time and its tomorrow! eeek . x
@katiep369 bless you! I was excited, then I was pooping my pants by the time I arrived as thatmade it more real haha. I was in a little dream world until that! But I can honestly say I was pooping my pants for no reason haha, it was a great day considering its surgery! Xxx
who got my time which is 11am tomorrow. i need to drop my kids off at a friends for 7.45am due to driving distance. I celebrated with a hot chocolate and brownie from costsa haha. xxLauren i see you had 375/400… think thats what I’m going for x
@lauren I’ve had surgery before (Gall Bladder removed) so I feel like I kind of know what to expect surgery-wise and being put to sleep. I think I’m more worried about how they will turn out afterwards than anything else! Yours look amazing btw! If mine were to turn out like yours I’d be more than happy!!
@Julie I’m glad you’ve finally been given your time! At least you’ve managed to get things arranged. How far away from the hospital are you? That’s sound like the perfect celebration! I’ve started to stay away from the treats and I’ve been running every lunchtime cos I know I’m not going to be able to exercise for 6 weeks after and I’m panicking I’m going to get fat! xx
@juliem yeah, I am so pleased with my surgeons choice! On my profile have a few progress pictures. I’m now 13dpo and they do just keep getting better so far!
@katiep369 aw thank you! I was nervous as to what they would look like but I am so happy with them so far! My incisions are brilliant too!
Xx
Thanks Girls, getting excited now.
haha i need to loose 8lbs still but i figured i won’t want to eat much after the op so I’m making the most of it :). xx
