Hi everyone,
My op is only 2 days away, I only booked last week, is there anything anyone recommends to take to make things easier more comfortable travelling from Newcastle the night before, also when do I receive my admission time? Is it usually the day before. Not really even nervous I think as it’s happened so fast I haven’t had time to feel any emotions yet! Any help greatly appreciated ????
Hi I was like you! I booked two weeks before my surgery. I got a time given within the first week but they didn’t confirm until the following week.
They usually send you a pre op checklist on dos and donts so I’m sure you’ll get that soon.
Things I brought with me was my surgical bra, a snack for after (I’m a fussy eater), change of clothes and my v pillow. If you don’t have one bring a normal one for travelling home if u can, it helps to sit it under your boobs when you’re sitting up. Remember to bring a top or pyjama top that opens at the front so it’s easier to get on post op and trousers that are easy to pull up.
I think cos I booked last minute I had mini panic attack the night before but you’ll be absolutely fine! If u have any questions I’ll be happy to try help u 🙂 xx
Thanks Megan will pack my bag tomorrow hopefully once I know what my admission time is, I didn’t think that about pants but probably will pack leggings as my jeans take some getting on and obviously I will be sore, how quickly did you recover were you able to do things after the op? I have 3 kids so a bit concerned about them I have lots of help just a bit worried x
Sorry also meant to add I’ve been up and about since I got home as I struggle keeping still lol you’ll be fine just take your painkillers religiously xx
Hey Hun I’ll be travelling from Newcastle too are you just travelling home after or staying in Preston? X
@roseh1993 get some throat sweets … My throat was so horrendously sore & they were a lifesaver
Hey depending on time of admission and how I feel probably travel home the same day don’t want to stay in a hotel when I’m uncomfortable anyways x
Fab Kerrie looking great as well thanks for the tips xx
@roseh1993 I was fine after my op, I went home same day. I had local anaesthetic and sedation so I wasn’t as groggy as other girls would’ve been. I was walking around the house and sitting in the garden the night of my op, I just had to do everything slowly. Washing my hair and putting it up was hard for the first 4 days and I didn’t drive till day 7, changing gears and putting on the handbrake was sore. I couldn’t sit at peace on my first week but the surgeon said walking about the house was good for me as long as I didn’t do too much. I would forget and try to stretch up for something and I would get really sore.
I went back to work (I’m a nurse) after 8 days and I was fine, you’ll maybe struggle lifting your kids if they’re young. I was making my own dinners after day 2 and I just did everything slower and I managed fine. I’m really excited for you!xxx
Thanks rose I’m looking to do the same good luck 🙂 xxx
I’m booked in tomorrow at Preston too. So nervous. I was told I had to stay within 1 hour of the hospital on the night of surgery so I’m booked into a hotel tonight and tomorrow. Good luck x
Hi girls did you meet your surgeon before you booked or did you book your surgery at your consaultion
I booked and paid in full at my consultation I’m booked for surgery for the 30th Aug but the time is sooooo dragging I’m meeting Dr mounir tomorrow again with my pre op next Tuesday and then the big day the following thursday soooo excited can’t sleep I wish I could have it done sooner than the 30th x
I have just got my admission time 2.00pm tomorrow, I am having second thoughts about my plant size I went for 450cc which was the biggest I’ve ofeted but wish I had of asked for 500cc after looking at pictures and hearing other girls stories scared Incase they will be too small! I’ve been told I can’t change my mind now.
Hi Rose, I kept thinking mine were gonna be too small and I only got 350cc, they feel massive and I love them. There’s only 25ml of a difference between 450 and 500 you honestly wouldn’t even notice the difference. It’s good to look at other girls photos but bear in mind they turn out different sizes on everyone even if you started off the same cup size. Xxx
Hi Hun! My op is tomorrow too! I’m travelling from Newcastle at 5am in the morning and staying at the Marriott x
Just got my admission time changed to 9.00am getting excited now! Can’t wait to have my boobs ????
Hope you are all doing ok girls. I feel great , no pain (yet!) and in love already x
hi honey, hope your op went well! I’d love to know how you got on in regards to implant size. I’m getting mine done with Mr Sleiter in London and Im around a 32/34 B now, but he wouldnt let me go any bigger than 375 cc and says I’ll be a DD/E? After looking at loads of other girls i’m worried they wont be that big and I’ll want bigger!
Hope you’re well and love your new boobies!!
I was a 32 b/c Antonia and I’ve had 325cc high profile overs today. They are not too small at all (albeit they are swollen at the minute) and I’m chuffed to pieces with them. I’ve tried to load a pic but says the file is too big and don’t know how to make it smaller x
On way home now girls feeling quite sore but the whole experience was amazing I was so excited until I got to theatre then panicked but they made me feel relaxed and reassured me when I said I feel like I’m not going to wake up ???????? I had Mr Traynor today and had 450cc high profile over the muscle and I’m in love!!!
