Ok girls, I’m a bit confused about Late Space and how it works.
I have saved up all the money I’ll need to pay for the surgery and my surgeon appointment is December 7th. My husband feels that it’d be best to book surgery for mid-January. I’m wondering how this works with late space, I would like to save a little, and I’m not too bothered about when surgery is done.
I’ve figured out that mid-January is 6 weeks after I meet my surgeon. I don’t know how it works, would I be able to pay on the 7th, then get my pre-op and book in for a late space, or do you think I’d be better waiting until the new year to do it? I’ve got no idea how it works!
Should I be telling my PC that I want to go as a late space, or can that wait until I see her on the 7th?
Yea wait untill the 7th if your happy tell your pc u would like to go ahead and see what she can offer you..myn was booked 6 weeks in advance x
Thanks Chanel.
I’m really nervous now. It wasn’t all that long ago that we only had £300 saved up and I was thinking it’d take forever to save, now we’ve done it and can pay in full, and I’m freaking out a bit, I don’t know if I’m ready to become a woman at last! My husband is worried it’ll change me and all of a sudden I’ll not want to be with him. I had my laser eye surgery and he was convinced that’d make me more confident and I’d leave him, so I keep saying that I’ll be more confident in myself and for him. I hope he understands that nothing will change who I am.
I’ve bought my v pillow. I’m not sure if I should get a onesie – I keep reading that people loved them post-op because they’re easy to get into, but I’m not keen on the idea. My mum is letting me borrow a tonne of her button-up tops because all my clothes are high neck pull on things!
It’s exciting – I can’t wait to wear pretty clothes!
My PC told me that late space means you have to have it done 2 weeks after consultation! Not what I have read on mya web page or from other girls though. Felt a bit cheated out of it tbh! xx
Hmmm… That’s not what I’ve read on here either, some girls say it’s up to 6 weeks… I will ask my PC. I really want to do late space to save a bit of cash, so if it means I have to pay later to get late space when I’m looking to have it done, I’ll do that. That means I’d have to call early January to pay it all, and then book an op date, do the pre-op…… It’s quite confusing isn’t it?
I was told as well, if you pay in a lump sum you get a small discount? No idea if that’s true or not. I want to do a day case surgery too, just so I can go home and be comfortable in my own bed.
I can’t do it earlier than mid January, just with various commitments around Christmas time, so I don’t want to rush surgery only to have to rest up during the holidays. Though it’d be great to have boobs by Christmas! Even if they were in a sports bra! Lol
My surgery is booked as a late space for the 31st January, haven’t even met my surgoen yet but I know he’s fantastic etc. booked my op at the end of October with £400 off for the date stated above 🙂 so it doesn’t need to be 2 weeks 🙂 xx
Nope ive had my ba n like i said booked six wks b4.@deb i bought a onesie just for hossy i never had one pre op n i bloody lived in it just so easy after ba n i was in alot ov pain n it was just easy.I no i cant believe u have managed to get all the funds together so quickly the tym has flown by! Xx
Thanks Lauren! Wow, that’s a huge saving! £400! Have you opted for a day case too?
Chanel, I will speak to my PC when I meet my surgeon, I’m sure she’ll clear it all up. Maybe it’s different in different areas?? I am at the stage where I want it to hurry up and come to my op so I can wake up grinning! 🙂
That sounds great about the onesie! I’ll look for a plain black one 🙂 I live in black! I think once I have boobs I’ll feel brave enough to wear more colour! Lol. 🙂 The first thing I’m going to buy when summer comes is a bright coral dress.
It’s literally taken me and my husband about 4 months to get it all together. I’m amazed – he’s worked so hard to get the money together, I owe him a great anniversary gift next year. I am imagining him needing to push me into the hospital, I’ll be shaking with nerves when it comes to it! He’ll be like “There’s no way you’re not doing this now – get in there woman!” I’m glad we’re not allowed to eat pre-op, my tummy will be in knots!
Were you nervous? xx
I felt the nerves from booking and its pretty much all i thought about for the six weeks feelin excited mostly and disbelief that i had actually booked ba i dont think i truly believed it till i was at the hospital.I felt really calm the night before n on way i think i had thought about it for so long that a calm just came over me i was the first admission i was there for 7:30am and had op at 8:45 so not much tym to feel nervous on the day but did feel them once gowned up n it was all go im just glad i was first! X
Yeah, I might be calm. I hope I am because I get in a real flap about not being in control of things.
I’m dying to see Mr Mounir to see what he says. I have a meeting with another surgeon a few days prior but I’m most looking forward to meeting Mr Mounir. Your photos look great, I bet you can’t wait to buy some new bras! That will be so exciting for me, I’ve always detested bra shopping, it makes me cry. I figure post-op I’ll be crying for another reason!
Another reason I want my BA in mid January is because I want to allow plenty of time afterwards to recover before a gig. There’s this band my husband and I are really into and it’s a pretty big deal this tour, and I want to jump around a bit – that’s not until April, so hoping I’ll be ok! It’ll be about 11 weeks after the op at that stage.
I wish time would go faster!! 😀
Ah thankyou n yes i am lookin forward to wearing actual bras my boobs feel secure in my zip up bra but it doesnt look ryt with most clothing and doesnt show off boobs my boobs dont seem particularly bigger in clothes with the sports bra on! Im sure u will b feeling great come april so jumping aloud lol x
No problem! Yeah I have 🙂 at highgate which is over 2 hours away from me so staying in a hotel he night before and unsure about of I have to the night after my op :/ xx
So after you’ve been discharged, if you live too far away you should stay in a hotel for that night? 🙂 xx
