Lifting arms up 5 days post op?

This it normal not being able to lift your arms fully at 5 days post op? If so when was you able to lift your arms up? Xx

I’m 1 week PO, can lift arms up quite high now, but not fully, for the first 5 days it really hurt to lift the one more than the other so have slowly pushed them higher ! but dont worry its normal, it should come back in a couple days!

Aww I hope so hun, my one side hurts more than the other too, hope I’ll be able to lift them up tidy soon, feel very restricted! Xx

@tylerjade21 hi hun, I’m 1 week post op today and I can lift my arms to shoulder height only but the nurse told me not to lift them above my shoulders anyway for now. I’ve just managed to do some tidying up today without lifting them too high so don’t worry it gets better xx

Aww that’s fab, my chest muscles still feel so tight too 🙁 xx

@tylerjade21 your chest muscles will feel extremely tight and may seem like they are very hot and almost burning but this is all normal as you have had unders hun. Basically the surgeon has had to lift your muscle and put the implants behind them so they are bound to feel irritated. It will get that little bit easier every day xx
