Hey was just wondering if anyone has had their BA under sedation and local anesthetic rather than general aesthetic?

Normally I’d never consider this type of surgery and not using GA but the price of one company who does it this way is very tempting.

Otherwise I would just be going with mya but money is really important to me.

If anyone has any experience with this or anyone has any opinions please let me know as would love to book this week

    thanks, louise xx

Louise I had local and sedation. I am not a mya patient.. But there was no price difference. My surgeon offered both and was very clear there was no real difference medical wise as it is the same drugs just less used. The reason I chose it was because it was simply less medication to get out of my body after. On the day, he put in my sleepy meds at 2.30 and I woke up after 4pm and it felt like a very satisfying 5min nap! I have 2 needle bruises on my body one in my boob and one in my tummy for the local aesthetic. I have no experience of GA so I don’t know what the differences would have been. Hope this helps.

thank you for your reply! the most satisfying thing is just knowing someone else has done this as i hadnt heard of it before! think im quite keen to go ahead with this now. were you aware of what he was doing? i just read an article about a patient who did it and although she was comfortable with what was happening she could make conversation to the nurses etc. dont know how i feel about somebody cutting me openin and being able to see him working away at it.
hope your happy with your results 🙂

Louise, the surgeon warned me that I might be able to hear sounds or see lights or memories might come back to me over the 24period after. But I heard nothing, see nothing and remember nothing!!! It didn’t scare me cause I had an emergency section for my third baby in 2012 and nothing could have been worse than that! And it wasn’t at all, it was all planned, professional, sleek and I have had no issues, I didn’t feel out of it afterwards either, I was fully awake at 4.30 and chatting my head off, I left the clinic after tea and toast at 5pm. I had an hour journey home, and I chatted all the way home! I was just a starving by the time I got home.

Iv read and seen people reviews of this before, they said that they don’t remember anything and that really they might as well of been put to sleep, one described it as like when you go to get your tooth out or something done with the teeth and they do the local and they talk nonsense though when they are properly awake they don’t remember a thing or anything they have said! personally I would say pay cheaper and get put to sleep as its like you have been asleep for 5mins but if you prefer to be awake then go ahead with that! I would of loved to of done it ha xxx
