Loosing weight

Hi guys, I’ve got my op on the 6th of September and I was wanting to know if loosing around a stone in weight can affect your implants? I’m currently 10.11 and I want to be 10 stone I think. Don’t think this will make much difference to my boobs if I loose this afterwards? Has any one else lost weight after surgery? Xx

Yes my surgeon advised me not to lose any weight as it does affect the breasts, I suppose you will lose breast tissue and end up slightly smaller and maybe rippling. I would advise to lose before but I bet you don’t even need to lose any weight ??x

I am at 10 stone 9 after an all inclusive holiday ha! I’m usually about 10 stone 3 but intend to lose 9lbs in the next 5 weeks (and a couple more if I can) so that I will be ok with not being able to go to the gym for a few months! I am also booked in at Preston on the 6th of sept. Come on we can do it before then!! I DO NOT want to be losing weight once they are done as it is just replicating what caused the issue in the first place Xx

I’m having an uplift too btw so not quite the same as you so might have less impact on your boobs but mine don’t like weight loss one bit haha xx

Yeah I am excited to finally have boobs I don’t hate and to be able to buy a top that is backless ha. The little things but I am a really Squimish person and faint giving blood so I am really nervous at the thought of even being put under and also at how I am being cut apart. Mine is a bit more brutal that just a BA so I am totally scared about that lol. It’ll be worth it tho! Xx

Hi when i had my consultation dr traynor told me that I couldn’t really loose weight as I’m only small up top and it could cause rippling and the implant becoming obvious .
So I’d be careful with weight loss after xx

I’ve got quite a lot of breast tissue so I didn’t think it would matter so much?
You gain 3lb on each boob don’t you? Xx

It depends what size implants you have I googled mine and it said roughly around a pound each I had 450’s
I probably wouldn’t worry too much unless your loosing loads xx

Hi girls, i am booked in 3 weeks today, 24th Aug. I am 10st 6lbs and would love to lose that 6lbs. i thought after booking my date I would have more of a drive to lose it but just not happening 🙁

This is week3 they are dropping but ones dropped more so looks bigger they’ll even out ….. I hope haha x

Aww Donna they look great I bet your chuffed! How are you finding your recovery? I’ve just paid the rest of my money so all seems real now I’ve had so many ups and downs and sleepless nights I just hope I’m doing the right thing!
Mandi, I’m 10 stone 11 and I want to loose that 11 pounds before the 6th of September, I’m not well atm I’m hoping to get back to eating healthy and the gym this Monday so I’ll also have 4 weeks! We can do it! Xx

Aw thanks Hun , yeah I’m really pleased so far I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff properly !
I was fine in the first week , the second week was a bad week as it was really hurting .
I’m on my 3 rd week now and they are a lot better .
It’s one of them where it can be up and down but already I’m so glad I did it !
The op was nothing , I was really scared of it but you literally just go to sleep and wake up with boobs .

No course not I was a 36 A I’m in a 36E sports bra at the mo .
I had dr traynor he’s a genius , so your in great hands !
He did 450 hp overs for me , what are you having ?
I could never really picture mine I was really nervous about it but he knows what he’s doing I’m excited for you xx

Aww thank you! I’ll have to let you know how I get on ? I’m having 450cc hp overs aswell!! It’s good to find people who have had the same as I’m getting! I’m a 32C right now though so they may look a bit different! What bras did u wear after surgery etc? I need to start thinking about buying some and I don’t have a clue what to get! Xxx

What size do you think that will make you ? They will be amaze ! I got m&s high impact sports bras I got 4 to start with as I didn’t know sizes dr traynor said I’d be 3-4 sizes bigger so I got 2 36 DD then 2 36 E then I got my fella to take 2 back after the op ? I wear one and wash one they are really comfy as well
I also used arnica a few days before and after and I have very little bruising don’t know if it’s that but it’s worth taking I think
All I took to hospital was my bras slippers baby wipes onesie and a magazine and a few snacks for my boyfriend , I traveled home in onesie and slippers ??xx

I’m finding it quite easy at the moment to be good as gold just because I’ve got the 6th sept in my head as my goal and I am just set that I do not want ‘fat tits’ haha. Xx

I lost 3-4 stone after my op but this was due to health reasons and it couldn’t be helped I checked in with my surgeon after loosing this much to make sure everything was okay he said I couldn’t afford to loose anymore I have got rippling but it’s under the skin and not visible that look at x

Donna, I think I’m gonna end up a 34E tbh. My friend had the same boobs as me before her op n she’s now a 34E! Did u not use the macoms then? I’m thinking of just getting a 34E bra from m&s think that will be fine! Got my pre op on the 20th so hopefully find out more then! I’m going with 2 friends and staying over in Preston so will just get them to pamper me haha. What time was your admission and when did U go under? We’re u in hospital for long?

Looking on here id seen a few people saying the macoms wasn’t comfy so I gave them a miss the m&s had good reviews so I got them .
My admission time was 8am I was the first on the list it went very fast Think I was back in my room by 11 ish as they keep you in recovery a while
I came round drank water then the nurse helped me into my bra and onesie then I had a sandwich and a coffee .
Mr traynor came to check all was ok then I was free to go
Think I left around 1.30 -2 pm
My recovery was very straight forward it was a good experience for me .
I slept most of the first week although I did get out for a walk everyday as my stomach swelled up I looked preggers ?It took around a week and a half to go down xx

I think I’ll go with the same option as you and get m&s bra then! Aww I’m hoping mines early on aswell I really don’t like the thought of sitting around waiting all day I’ll be a bag of nerves! I’ve gotta travel 2 hours aswell ☹️ When did you find out your admission time? Also how have you been at sleeping? That’s the part I think I’m dreading the most!
Have you been putting anything on for stretch marks aswell? Sorry for the 20 million questions haha xx

I lost about a stone and a half after my op and it didn’t affect my boobs at all – just made them look bigger in proportion to the rest of me! But even before my op, if my weight fluctuated it never seemed to affect my boobs anyway. As others have said, if you do lose natural tissue from your boobs it can cause rippling xx

I found out mine a few days before my op although an hour before my admission my op was cancelled but I got a slot the following morning so it was fine .
I’ve got a v pillow and it’s been a god send I prop my self up and put pillows under my arms .
I sleep well but I always dream about turning on my side , I’m a side sleeper normally .
I’ve got bio oil for that but to be honest they are so sensitive I can’t bear them to be touched just at the minute so not used it .
It will be great with your friends looking after you .
It’s easy to say after but there’s really nothing to worry about you just have a sleep and wake with boobs haha best sleep you’ll ever have ?Xx
