Lymecycline/acne medication

Hi ladies,

Does/Has anyone take lymecycline tetrasyl antibiotics for acne/skin problems. Did you continue to take the meds up till surgery. I have told my consultant and he didn’t say to stop taking them but I have seen a few places people say you must stop taking antibiotics 4 weeks prior to surgery?? My date is booked for 28th March so confused??

Hey Hun.

I take these tablets for my skin and my nurse hasn’t told me to stop taking them either, if you are unsure I would ask him again Just to be certain but I am sure it’s fine

hey my surgery is on the 5th august and I’ve just started taking these tablets. did you guys stop taking them or was it okay?

I took mine right up to the day of surgery, then stopped for the week I took my antibiotics prescribed by my surgeon as didn’t wanna be taking two lots the restarted the lymecycline once they finished xx
