Did anyone have to wear a Macom breast band after surgery? I have mine on and it is to help them drop although it feels very tight and I am worried it is going to miss shape them. Can anyone help??

Quite a lot of girls on here wear them lovely, it’s just to help the swelling and the implant settle into place. Makes the whole process so much faster for them dropping & fluffing. Loosen it off a little bit if it’s too tight I asked my nurse and it shouldn’t be so tight its uncomfortable or restricting your breathing! Hope you’re recovering well xx

Hi girls I had the band and its a pain. I’m 6 weeks now and have only just had it taken off.
I was told the first 3 weeks are the most important and wear it as tight as is comfortable.
It’s funny as I’m sitting here with an ice pack on my boobs as they feel a bit burny. The nurse said this is very normal. I think also that it’s getting use to them not being strapped down. It is so worth it. I had a love hate relationship with the band. I’m so glad I had it but couldn’t wait to through it away. Xx

I know it’s a pain wearing the breast band for 4 weeks . I found it itchy , uncomfortatable , and a pain . For the 1st week my band was on too tight , I could feel it digging into my skin, and restrictting my arms . At my 7 days assessment the nurse loosen it , and it felt much better . I’m nearly 6 weeks PO , I’ve kept my bb in a drawer as a reminder …hope I never have to use it again …

Thank you girls… I just could t remember what the surgeon said to me when she put it on as I was a little fuzzy still.
I have now put it on top of my Macom bra instead of underneath and it is much less itchy. Looks like I’m going to just have to get used to it for a little while ? Xx

I’m a little annoyed that I never got told about wearing a breastfeeding band. I’m three weeks post op and I never had a beast band or strapping. I hope this dosnt affect my heeling and my boobs will drop more.

My surgeon said not to wear one . All the review says to wear it. So was worried. Think each surgeon has different opinions on them .was strapped up for 10 days though x

It’s just surgeons preference I think when I had my pre op the nurse said my surgeon liked to use them so it was waiting for me on my op day! I’m so happy to see the back of it they’re very uncomfy and so hard to wear anything with haha! It’s just to speed up the dropping process as far as I know has no impact on your end result 🙂 xxx

@sherrie I don’t think it will affect them Hun it’s just the surgeons preference. Did you have high profile or low? Xx
