Should I invest in a Macom or are sports bras just as good? Obviously the Macom is expensive but am willing to invest if their worth it!

@crazyjade27 for me I would say Macom 100% , so comfy in mine and you don’t have to worry about size

Really happy with my Macom’s. Bought two so I can wash one while wearing the other. I think I used the code MYBREAST to get 15% off x

Hii.. I bought a Macom for the first week.. But for me it was more the lack of shape it gives you under clothes, i invested in a high impact padded sportd bra 2 days ago and so happy with it! Plus I’m finding it really supports my back and I’m sleeping much better as I’m more comfortable xx

Thanks girls! What sizing are the macoms then lucy?
It’s hard to know what size I’ll end up after surgery!
Linda fuimara didn’t exactly say I’ll end up a certain cup size as such really:/

Exactly it’s really hard to know so that’s why the Macom is really good, you just get your normal back size. I got Macom in size small which is 32 and it fit fine before and after my op but I just have boobs to fill it now x

    Hiya Jade,
The Macom/sports bra thing really seems to be a personal preference. I really didn’t find Macom comfortable when I tried it on pre-op (found the seams itchy) & couldn’t even get mine on (36 so a large) on after my op. Now the swelling has (mostly) gone down I can just about get into it but it hurts. So, I’ve stuck with M&S High Impact Sports bra.

The thing is, you can’t really know until the day which is unfortunate! But, I’m so glad I bought my sports bras as otherwise I wouldn’t have anything to wear after my op!
What I did, was I realised the M&S bras didn’t have any tags etc…just a hanger they came on, so I bought 3 different sizes of those, kept the hangers safe, washed them & packed them all in my hospital bag.
I figured with the sports bras, if none of them fit I could take them all back and get a refund, no harm done. It ended up only the one sports bra fit of all 5 bras I took!
(2 Macoms in L, M&S High Impacts in size 36C, 36D and 36DD). I wore the 36DD, swapped the 36C out for another 36DD and kept the D in case they got any smaller after swelling.
Most people are fine with their Macoms, but I just thought it might be helpful for you to know that I wasn’t & what I did instead.
All the best & sorry for the huugge reply! x

If your a back size 30.. Go for a 32.. They recommend the next size up!
I used to be a 34 back and bought a 34 macom which ended up being too tight so had to pay £25 for same day delivery for the 36 back.. There was something quite funny in watching Dr Fuimara and the nurse stretching and pulling my Macom after surgery so it would fit 🙂 x
