I’m almost 21 and have been thinking of a boob job ever since I was 17. I have quite a big bum and such a flat chest, it really knocks my confidence! They have no shape at all, I describe it as a boys chest!
I’ve never been in hospital, never had an op and absolutely hate needles and the thought of pain. I want to know the ins and outs that you don’t see! Is it bearable? Is it worth it? How long until I can get back in the gym?
I was 21 when I had my first BA … very similar to you, good proportions everywhere apart from my chest and I absolutely hated it. I would buy the most padded bra’s, bikini’s, the lot …. until I decided I was too young to be so insecure about something I could change. And it was honestly the best decision I ever made and I don’t regret any of it, in fact I’m booked in to have a second one in 4 weeks to go bigger.
Personally for me, I came round from the operation fine (my first one too), and it’s more a tight uncomfortable feeling rather than pain but with pain killers it was manageable. The hardest part I found was sleeping upright, but was all worth it in the end.
I think you’ll know when / if it’s the right thing for you xx
I’d never been in a hospital or had an operation until my BA. I’m so scared of needles, I even nearly cancelled when they said I had to have my blood test at my pre op! But thought no I want this I just have to do it.
As for needles on the day of surgery, I didn’t see one! I know they use one for the canular but never felt it go in, I think my adrenaline was so high from excitement that I didn’t care.
It’s not a pain so much it’s just really tight, and I had strapping so I think this is what caused most of the pain that I experienced. Like Sophie said above sleeping is the worst part, you end up with more back ache pain from the sleeping upright than your actual boobs lol. So at one point I was taking be pain killers for my back not my boobs.
As for the gym they recommended 6 weeks off. I’ve had 3 weeks off and for me I’m going crazy! I think il be going back to doing just cardio until the 6 weeks then attempt to do light weights. Xx
This makes me feel so much better! It definitely is the right thing for me as it knocks my confidence so much and feel like I need the BA to move forward. Just got to get a consultation booked in now to make it all feel real! Xx
@sophiex26x Not everyone has one I don’t think. I stupidly told them I used to have heavy periods before going on the pill, and then they were like you have to have a blood test then haha! xx
