    Hiya
I’m looking to have my Ba on the 1st march and have a 8 month old too, luckily my husband is taking some time off but I have the same concerns. They say you can’t lift them for a week but ladies I have spoke to say leave as long as possible. I’m dreading the first 2 days as I’m thinking I am going to be feeling rough and will be in bed, especially if they are upset and want mummy:-( x
    Good luck x

Hi I have a 6 month old and a 4 year old. I had my ba on 21st jan. my partner took a week off work to basically do everything! Then it was up to me! I wasn’t really in too much pain, felt quite ill the first day then tired and uncomfortable and sore the following days. I was worried about carrying my baby in his car seat but after the first few days it was fine. I met mr traynor before and he said I’d be able to lift my baby up to waist height. I didn’t lift him at all in the first week. I can now do everything I did before. I should point out though I had overs and the healing process is quicker compared to unders. Hope this helps xx

Hi had mine done yesterday I had overs , I’m realy surprised how easy it is to move about I can move my arms pritty freely but I would lift them above my head . There no change in strength at all . My two year old is a hand full and has been climbing up the sofa to hug me . I’m sitting up most of the time . And there’s no real pain when I’m Huging him. Walking round is easy i do feel the presure of my stiches when i walk but holding my breasts helps with that. Xx
