Hi have any of you ladies been advised by nurse to massage those lovely boobies to help them to drop? X

Yeah I did. I know it was a long time ago. But I massaged the life out of them because I was scared about capsular contracture. I pressed them, pushed them, pinched them haha. In seriousness though I read about what to do and kept pinching top, bottom left and right to make sure the implant moved in all directions. X

Ooh so what’s the advantage of massaging them then? Does it help prevent CC? xx

It’s supposed to I think. Whether it really does I don’t know. But I still squidge them every day in the bath. Piece of mind really. X

This one show squidging. I’d ask your surgeons about it. And when to start if at all. X

I don’t think you’re supposed to massage if you have textured implants. I think its only the smooth ones that need massaging…x

I went to my post op appointment today and my nurse advised me to start massaging them in a few days time to reduce the amount of scar tissue build up and to make them feel more ‘apart of me’ 🙂 xx

I have teardrops and they’re textured. Last time I was told not to massage them nut at my po app with the nurse last week she told me to massage downwards and inwards every time I went to the toilet! Maybe she didn’t know I had teardrops. X

I have been advised by surgeon to do harsh manipulative massage on my left boob to encourage it to drop more..and i have textured naturelle implants..its perfectly safe xx

Massage is to prevent capsular contracture. The textured surface is textured so that it adheres more naturally to the inside of the pocket. You really don’t need to massage textured implants. Those of you getting this advice from your nurses should really be asking your surgeon. x

I had cui implants.. How do i know if their textured?.x

Look at your paperwork if you have it, if not speak to your pc she should know. X
