Massage after 6 week check

Hi girls, has anyone been given any massage techniques after their 6 week check? X

I saw my surgeon last week and he told me specifically not to massage, but to move my boobs kinda like up, down, left, right … In like a square. He said it helps to soften them – not sure if this is recommended for everyone though, I suppose we’re all different and all surgeons give different advice – I wasn’t told anything at 6 weeks though. Maybe try and speak to somebody at MYA if you’re concerned! x

Hi Laura yeah I wouldn’t want to massage without the go ahead to do so. Where you having problems with dropping or softening? X

HI Sally Anne, massage is recommended for U.S ladies with SMOOTH implants only. We don’t use smooths in the UK so massage is never recommended as it can damage the coating on your implant. As Laura said, your Dr may advise you to move them lightly in the pocket but never massage x

They don’t damage your implant by massaging!! That may scare some girls. Don’t worry I have textured and my surgeon reccomemd end a vigorous massage!! Don’t worry it’s to help them drop it will NOT damage them of you have been told to do so x

I was yes. I had them done first time in feb xx

My surgeon was kazzazi. I have a pesky right boob that’s dragging it’s heals. Did the massage work for you? xx

Hi Sally Anne & pepper pot! I’m really glad I just read this post as I am 10 weeks post op and my right boob it so much higher and harder than my left. I also had mr k and he has told me to massage twice a day for 3 months because it’s due to scar tissue and then to make another appointment with him! My surgeon, Mr Singh told my when i first met him at my Pre Op that he says its ok for girls to massage if they have problems with dropping and he will tell them to do so if he feels it will help (norm after the 6 week mark) xxx

What kind of massage did your surgeon advise x

I haven’t been advised any – I’m only 11 days post op 🙂 xxx

Hi Hun, I think it more depends on the individual! I had Mounir and he told me a really strange technique but that was at my 12 week check. He said they would look better If I carried on doing it and he wasn’t wrong x
