Hi 🙂 nurse said a few days ago iv barely any swelling, so today I’m 15 days post op and thought while I’m in the city I’d get measured, I said to the lady I think I’m a c or d, her reply was your definitely not a c or d, she measured me at a 32F
Cannot believe it, obviously iv still got a little swelling (I think) as there’s no way I’m going to stay a F cup!!! The bra I tried on was huge but fitted perfect!!! Surely I can’t go down a few cup sizes over the next 4 weeks?
So confused how long swelling lasts and what if you didn’t swell much to begin with

What did you ladies measure at 2 weeks post op and then at 6 weeks post op? Did you lose cup sizes?

How exciting Hun! I feel like I want to get measured now. I don’t reckon you’ll lose much now tbh, especially if all the swelling is gone :). Xx

Yeah 🙂 arww you should Hannah, going to go back at 6 week po and see if any change in size!! Only thing is when I put the bra on I thought I looked a bit too heavy, only worry if the swelling has already gone!! Thing is how do you know if it’s completely gone? Xx

I think I might, but if she handed me a bra that size, I’d laugh after buying Bs for that long lol. I think all my swellings gone, but I am no expert, they’re still quite hard, so god knows. Xx

You had yours day before me, same mine are still a little hard, though when I run upstairs I can feel them wobble wiggle or whatever it is…so definitely changing!!! You’ll measure huge too as you was a b pre op and had larger implants, you’ll be in sane category as cath lol you’s will be off the radar lol ???? xx

They are looking perfect! Ah I’m so jealous mine are doing stupid things at different times :(. I really wish I had been given the choice of overs.

Haha I hope I’m not to big, F would be nice! Although Victoria secrets only go up to an E or something, so that will be a bummer haha! Xx

Hi Yvette, I haven’t been officially measured but I’ve tried on bras and I’m coming out at 32d in most bras I’ve tried with 255cc (I’m just over 5wpo) so with your implant size an f sounds like it could be possible to stay that size !! 🙂

It’s not just the swelling it’s the actual change in shape and how they sit that also affects cup size thats why it’s best not to be measured until 6 weeks, for example you could still have lots of projection at 2-3 weeks because there still quite firm and round then once they drop properly into the pockets and soften the volume at the top decreases and volume and width at the bottom becomes fuller, you also have alot of healing to do internaly despite how much swelling you can actualy see externaly, i dropped nearly 2 cup sizes but that was allways going to be the case for me as my swelling was mammoth, i bought a 34 D for my post surgical bra i had to change it for a 36E on day 3 of recovery and on day 6 went into a 36F, after most swelling had gone down i was measuring an F and at 6 months post op im now settled in a D cup (DD in boux).
I would just be cautious about spending alot of money on new underwear in the early stages (i went nuts and spent a fortune i was ridiculously excited about buying underwear that looked like it was made for a boob goddess) and now have a draw full of bras that are too big for me, i also struugled to find something that felt comfortable for more than an hour so keep your tags on and keep receipts would be another tip i would give, it might feel great on in the shop but after an hour may dig in, we dont know all these things when we are flat chested were not pro’s at buying the right sized bras, most of us have been wearing scaffolding padding inside bras that are a band size too big and 2 cup sizes too big since we hit puberty 🙂
Treat yourself to something special but also buy a few cheaper bras till you have a good 4 months under your belt in your recovery then have a splurge, i know lots of you will keep the same measurements at 6 months that you were given at 6 weeks but dont forget there is also a chance you could actualy go even bigger, ive also seen that happen on here lots too! xxx

Haha 🙂 yeah definitely go for it, you don’t have to buy one but I think it’s interesting to do a measurement now then again at 6 weeks po from same shop just to see how much change has happened:) let us know how it goes if you do eeeeekkkk xx

Hi yes I totally get what you mean, I don’t think personally have any swelling, time will tell lol
Also I didn’t buy any bras, obviously for that reason but thought it’s a good idea to get measured now then again at 6 weeks at the same shop so can see whether I go smaller or stay around same, interesting to see!! 🙂 xx
