Medical History not needed? Help!

Hey, I’m getting really anxious as I’ve been reading on here that people need gp letters and medical history, but at my pre op my nurse said I didn’t need anything? I also rang the clinic to double check and they said the same then sent this text “Hi India, we do not need any further information regarding your medical history, please contact us if you have any other queries, kind regards MYA x”
I’m panicking? Has anyone else not had to have confirmation from gp?? My surgery is 3weeks away and don’t want them cancelling last minute? I know they said they don’t need it but I haven’t found anyone on here who hasn’t needed it?!!!!

I had this panic in the week leading up to my op. As long as there are no concerns with your medical history all the clinic needs is your NHS number, which you can get by ringing your GP.

Hi India don’t panic all good the are they very thorough, just as Kelly said they have your nhs number and would have checked. One of the reasons I chose Mya was due to the fact they really make sure you are 100% fit for your surgery. So congratulations enjoy and good luck 🙂 x
