Hi all, my surgery is two weeks today and I’ve just had my pre op. The nurse is sending away for my medical records and confirmation that my dr agrees to surgery due to some medication I take. (Nothing major, not expecting it to be a problem). However, I’m totally stressing that the surgery is so crap that they won’t have it done it time. Am I being stupid or do you think I have plenty if time. Any advice is appreciated. Xx
Depends what medication it is.. I was on antibiotics dye to inflammation of my throat tonsil, but that was a month before my.surgery but I remember nurse advising that anything sooner to surgery could lead to possible postponing x
It’s medication for anxiety, they’ve said the medication itself is totally fine, just need drs approval, I’ll just have to keep chasing them. It gets faxed to hospital so suppose! Desperate to get it done in 2 weeks as can’t do it any later due to hols and will have to wait until July. Argh!! Thanks for reply xx
Hey hun I’m exactly the same! I have meds for anxiety and they need notes off the doctor, my surgery is in a week. Just give the docs a ring and keep asking your PC cos they will know when it’s done xx
Hun just make an appointment asked for him to checked me over lol and asked for a letter he told me to collect it the next day as it would be ready then, I also had to pay 17 quid… Just chase them
