    Hi all
I have co-dydramol but it makes me so dizzy so I am going to stop taking it unless its just before bed as it helps me sleep. I took 1 this morning at 7 am.. when can I take ibuprofen? And are we allowed to take ibuprofen.. I’ve read some people say Ibuprofen is good as it kills pain and reduces swelling whereas others say it thins the blood?

My left boob is really swollen and tight so I just want to ease the uncomfortable feeling šŸ™ also any help/reassurance that this is normal would be appreciated. It’s not hot or red so I am not too worried but it is definitely tighter and more swollen than the right

    Thank you girls xx

Your doctor or surgeon is the only person that can advise on medication as everyone is different. I wouldn’t take online advice as we are not qualified to give it.

I was given ibuprofen from the hospital when I was discharged, I took that every four hours and paracetamol every four hours. So like ibuprofen at 12 then paracetamol at 2. Xx

I’m pretty sure ibuprofen 2 weeks before op isn’t allowed as it thins the blood for when you have your op but post op you’re all stitched up so ibuprofen would be fine. My nurse said at pre op to not take it before but after should be fine šŸ™‚

I had my op in September so Iā€™m all healed now šŸ™‚ my recovery was great though, felt tight and heavy the first few days. After day 4 it definitely gets better :). X

My doctor was strongly against me taking ibuprofen. Especially whilst the wounds are still new as the blood needs to clot in order for it to heal. Hope this helps xx

stacey – I’m day 4 tomorrow so you have filled me with hope hahaa thank you

Robyn – ahh ok I will try and avoid it then. Maybe paracetamol? Want something to kill the pain that also won’t send me to sleep haha
