hi gals. I have an app with dr Traynor soon then hope to get surgery a few weeks after depending on availably.
Was Just wondering if anyone had any tips for my surgeon app and what to ask etc? Im guessing you try on a special bra etc? should i wear a tight top?
thanks ladies xx
Hiya Julie! I would make sure that you ask about profile of the implants & if you have a choice of unders/overs! and research the pros/cons of both unders/overs 🙂 Its always good to go in with a rough cc size you would like but ask what they would suggest too 🙂 There is a bra there for you to try on sizers with but if you have your own sports bra that would be better i think! as well as a tighter fitting top so you have a rough idea of what the end result could look like! I ended up going back to my surgeon several times with more questions haha xx
Hey hun, i will have to have under as I’ve had 3 kids and they are all deflated now lol. I’m thinking 350cc but will need to chat to the dr. I was a dd/e when pregnant and now I’m barley a B.
Fab idea about sports bra! i will do that, thanks 🙂
my app is june and I’m hoping to get the surgery a few weeks after. have you had your BA done yet or do you have a date? xx
I would also maybe look into possibility of an uplift, i was so unprepared and went in thinking that i would be fine with just implants I burst out crying when I was told I needed an uplift too haha you may not need an uplift but if you have the info at hand (I think I would have dealt that a bit less dramatically if I had done my research on that in advance lmao). I would also advise seeing more than one surgeon just to get a second opinion and then you have a choice of which surgeon you prefer if you dont like either of them rather than feeling like you HAVE to go with that one particular. Sorry just waffling now haha My date is 5th june so not long now, has come around so quickly! keep me updated on how your meeting goes hun 🙂 xx
Hey Julie!
I’m getting 325cc with Dr Traynor in a few weeks. When you go for your appointment, have a list of questions you want to ask and make sure you ask him all the questions you want to, don’t feel rushed. He is a nice man but to the point and I came away not having asked everything, partly because I was a bit nervous and the consultation was quite short.
Your patient coordinator should be at your appointment but if not, ask if one can come in or you could take a friend in (a chaperone). I’m glad I asked for a pc as its easy to forget something that the surgeon said.
He will measure you behind a screen and then go through the risks of the procedure.
Then he asked me what size I want to be and he says whether this is achievable. You can say a cup size as a rough idea but cc sizes are completely different. He will write down several sizes you can have then after your consultation you can try them on with your patient coordinator. You can take a sports bra but MYA had a bra there. Take several tops, maybe a tight one and a looser one. Don’t get too focused on cup sizes as they will vary in shops, go by what you see there in the mirror.
Dr Traynor will also tell you if overs or unders are viable, unders if you have less tissue. Then you can decide with him on high or ultra high profile and he has implants there in moderate plus, high or ultra high profile. The higher the profile the more projection really.
I definitely feel confident in going with Dr Traynor, he is very experienced and can tell exactly what is right for you.
Hope this helps 🙂
thanks for replying ladies.. i never even considered an uplift! i will be sure to read up on it so I’m prepared if i need one. I actually can’t think of anything to ask him lol. I’m hoping to get a mini tummy tuck at the same time so i am expecting to be pretty sore. my app is still 4 weeks away 🙁 they are fully booked until then.
My husband will be coming with me so I’m sure he will have lots of questions.
I will be sure to bring some different tops. I am having bad comments from friends who say I’m stupid getting it done and why risk my life etc so its nice to chat to positive people. This is something I’ve wanted done for 8 years now xx
