Hi girls, I’ve just uploaded a pic of a strange vein like thing that I can see and feel right underneath my skin under my right inscision. It runs right down over my ribs and then down through my stomach. It’s quite tender to touch, but I can’t feel it otherwise. I’ve done some researching on the internet and I think it’s a Mondors cord. Has anyone else had/heard of this?? x
Laura I have this too, been really sore and treated with a heat pack and anti inflamatories. Saw the nurse on tuesday and she said not to worry as it will go of its accord…usally takes a few weeks. xx
Ah good, I figured its one of those things that happens, but just glad to know I’m not the only one! How are your insisions doing now?! Hopefully all healed? x
Still have a dressing on the left side. Taking it off today and hopefully it will be ok. Have an appointment for Monday incase it still hasn’t healed (nurse gave me spare dressing) but she said just cancel it if wound looks ok. Going to have a shower & check it out…fingers crossed that I will finally have both boobs free from plasters!! Sorry your having the Mandors Cord problem, hopefully will settle asap. Xx
