Been signed off today for another week as I’m still not fully healed & cant move my arms much 3 weeks post op! Haven’t told work yet as I’m shitting myself! I know I’ve let them down as I’m due back in tomorrow & they’re not happy that I’m still not ready to return to work but aren’t aware I’ve been signed off as yet 🙁 so so fed up now just wanna get back to normality miss my independence & am so bored, didn’t actually think it was going to be such a slow & long process x
babe, if your ill your ill, if you’ve been signed off, yes they can be a bit arsey with you but they have no legal right to discipline you, remember that. love and hugs get well soon
Thankyou Megan that’s really kind I just can’t believe how worried I am about letting them know can’t physically dial the number, hate leaving people in the lurch xx
I know im the same, im went back to work after 10 days, i dont feel great i’m still very sore but i get on so well with everyone that i cant bare not to come in and see people, i only work in a call centre too so i;m not exactly doing gymnastics or anything
Gosh that’s so soon I couldn’t have done that, howa you feeling now? It wouldn’t be so bad if I could have some easy work only I’m a massage therapist so Im moving a lot & have to bend using chest muscles too :/ xx
i feel sore and my chest is heavy and tight but im ok 🙂 ah see thats why u need more time off than me urs is quiet an active job
How much time are you supposed to take off work? I had my op on Wednesday and am back to work next Wednesday so just a week off! I’m not really in any pain to be honest but I’m worried that maybe that’s a bit soon? I only work in an office so nothing too strenuous. X
i took 10 days off and i work in an office based contact centre, the pain is bearable im just so tired because im used to having naps during the day! haha xx
Awwww, ducky, hang in there hun. You will be right as rain soon. No good ruining those valuable assets by going back too soon. You aren’t letting people down, you are genuinely ill, you’ve had major surgery. Take care hun, and just keep resting x x x
Hey ducky… Better you heal properly and go back refreshed and ready for action! Hope you feel better soon hun xx
Aww hunny 🙁 so so sorry ur still not fully healed. I hope work aren’t annoyed with u, do they no why ur off?
I’m sure u will be sorted soon chick, Just try stay positive n think it will all be worth it in the end xx
Belle you should be fine then just take it easy, we have to listen to our bodies. unfortunately I’ve not healed very fast at all was told Thursday I was healed then I noticed a little blood earlier was gonna have a blinkin shower too but I’m staying positive it’ll all be worth it 😀 ahhh 3 of my favourites here to cheer me up again..hope you’re all alright? Yeah I told them when they took me on this was a goal I set for the near future, I have 2 bosses one was fine but when I took the sick note in the other made out I’ve really let the team down last minute although I’ve rung them twice this week & left messages but nobody returned my calls, dramas & all sorts! Xx
Thanks for the advice. Aww bless you petal. That must be pretty frustrating but you’re right you have to stay positive cause it is totally worth it and your priority now is making sure you heal proper that’s all you can do now. A job is just a job at the end of the day, what really matters is your happiness and your health xx
You’re right honey just trying to stay extra positive, decided to tell the rest of my family last night & was relieved to find they were happy for me so I am surrounded by supportive people- the people that actually matter xx
Hey ducky just read this, that’s fab! I’m so pleased for you that must make you feel a lot better about everything? I wasn’t going to tell anyone but a week or two before my op I told my two best friends and they have been great, sending me supportive texts and stuff I would’ve struggled without them. I’m glad you’re feeling more positive, let me know how you get on petal x x
