    Hi Girls
can anyone enlighten me on the mrsa test and how exactly they test you for it?
also a few other things. I have my nurse assessment on Wednesday 26th. Do you have a blood test? firstly I don’t like needles and secondly I have rare blood and (this may sound drastic) but I refuse to have surgery anywhere that doesn’t have my blood in stock. in case anything happens!!!

can someone let me know everything they do in the nurse appointment. my surgery is 2 weeks today and im so worried about them not having my blood on site! xx

Hi Charlotte. The MRSA test is a swab up your nose and armpit. If it’s positive you have to take a course of antibiotics and then have three negative results before you can have surgery. I don’t think many people actually have it though so don’t worry. I didn’t have to have a blood test and I don’t know anything about them having blood on site. At my pre op the nurse went through some paperwork, the do’s and dont’s before and after surgery and took photos xx

I had my nurse appointment on Wednesday (with another clinic I must add). I didn’t get my bloods taken but they go through an in depth medical questionnaire which I was asked if I was a rare blood type. With regards to mrsa, it’s a simple cotton swap which you wipe around both nostrils and a seperate swab to do your groin area, they only do these two places as they are the most common. I then had my blood pressure taken, my height and weight and some preop photos, signed a for to consent to them requesting a letter of suitability from my gp and then paid my final balance and asked any more questions I may have had x

I haven’t had mine yet, got my op on the 2nd so not long. I’ve chosen either 485cc or 500cc, letting the surgeon decide when I’m on the table as I’d be happy with either – what about yourself? X

@rachael271 ah mines the 4th! im having 360cc – id actually want bigger but he said my optimum size is 330, so 360 is already slightly pushing it! im a big B/ Small C at the moment so im hoping to be a DD in reality. but I don’t have much stretch in my skin! im having overs to get the full size out of the implant so I don’t lose any behind the muscle as well lol

I’m having overs too, I’m a very deflated 36c after loosing weight so I’ve got quite a bit of skin to fill. Hopefully I’ll achieve an e cup – I miss my pre-weight loss boobs lol xx

The pain was pretty bad the first day and night but after that it was fine. I was being sick and was so drowsy the first day after surgery so that didn’t help! I have recovered really quickly and was doing everything I did before after a week. It’s not been as bad as I thought it would be xx

So I had my pre-op appointment yesterday with the nurse and I had to do a blood test! My cousin had her boobs done last year at Mya and didn’t need to have one so when I asked why I was having one she said it depended on the surgeon you’re seeing and what their preferences are to pre-op checks.

The nurse was really nice though, and trust me I have the same thing about needles and it didn’t hurt. It was like a little pinch when the needle first went in but that’s all I felt 🙂
