Hi girls I bought the M&S “Post Surgery Extra High Impact Zip Front Non-Wired Sports Bra”
as I fancied a change from my Macom as I’d like an easier zip front one for a bit! It’s the black one with the pink detail around the zip.
I ordered a 32D … and it’s too small which I am rather pleased about haha!
I was having trouble bringing the two bits together at the front to zip it up so don’t know wether I need to go up a band size too or just try my usual 32 and go up cup sizes?? I have read a few reviews on their site and have seen some people say it comes up small.
Did anyone else go up in band size with this specific style?
I guess I may just have to order a few different cup and band sizes to see which fits best.
Thank you for any help girls! xxx
Hiya Hun I’d definitely go up a band size! I have the m&s one atm I’ll attach a pic, I’m a 34 back but it’s so tight! I can hardly breathe I had my surgery on Wednesday and only today I have been able to get into it cause I couldn’t do it up! I think most of that was because of swelling! But the band is still tight. Defo try it on and find the band size that is the most comfortable xx
Thank you lovely @siobhansbon
I am usually a 32 but ye it was so tight!!! I will order a few different cup and band sizes i think and just see which fits best! I am 8 days post op now, I think perhaps I do need a bigger cup size too!
xxxx
Hi @eevie, I bought this one before my op and usually wear a 32 back but went for the 34, and it’s still slightly restrictive. I’ve been really uncomfortable since my op (on Monday) and still have trapped wind and bloating. I went back to M&S today and got a different sports bra, the extra high impact one and it is so comforting I would def recommend. Still went for the next back size up but it’s more comfy than the black one. Just incase you needed anymore xx
I have this one and would definitely recommend going up a back size! I measure a 34 but wear a 36 and this is a 36E and a so tight! Could definitely do with a bigger back size. If you can try them on first I would do xx
@lausand17 Thank you lovely I will definitely look at the other one too! I will get a bigger band size I might get a couple so i can change them under different clothes. That white one looks really comfy.
I hope you start feeling better soon, are you still taking the strong pain relief? As soon as i finished those and went on to paracetamol my bloating and trapped wind eased up (i dont think the antibiotics help either!) I also took dulcalax which really helped with going to the loo after a few days!! xx
Thank you lovely @danielle101 I looked at that one too before and it looked really comfy! I will definitely go up a back size!
I might order a few online and if i have no luck with sizing i will try to get into a store to try them on, I’m still feeling pretty sore and can’t stand up straight for too long so don’t really want to go to the shops yet but if i have no luck with the selection of sizes i order i’ll definitely go to a store! xx
It’s really supportive, I’ve bought a couple more from Asda and Tesco but they haven’t felt as supportive as this. I’m hoping once my swelling goes down it won’t be as tight! How many days post op are you? Xx
@danielle101 I will definitely get one thank you lovely 🙂
I am now 8 days post op 🙂 I am still feeling quite swollen and sore but today I definitely feel a bit better. I had my strapping off yesterday and that made such a difference, I couldn’t breathe when it was on so now I feel more free!
How many days post op are you? xx
I had exactly the same with my M&S bra! Before my op I bought a 34 D and a 34 E , not really expecting to use the E but on the day, before I was discharged I had both the nurse and my mum wrestling to get it on and do the zip up at the front ????????. It got easier to do up but I couldn’t even get the 34D on, so a couple days later I ordered another 34E and it was such a mission trying to get it done up! Should have gone for a 36 lol but it is really secure and comfy, I just dread having to get it back on x
@zewbee haha oh no! I was a bit confused when I tried to get the 32D on today as I am always a 32 and I couldn’t get the two bits to meet at the front at all !!! I am going to order a 34D and DD i think and see if that makes a difference! I like my macom but i don’t feel it’s as comfy as these other sports bras, it’s not very soft!!
x
@eevie ha ha yes I read about the Macom but lots of people said they made them uncomfortable. The funny thing is the 34E isn’t totally filled as I still have my strapping on so I thought the D would be perfect. But there’s no way in hell I can get it on! My mum almost burst a vein trying to do it up!! So after the swelling goes down I doubt I’ll use the 34 Es again…they are cheaper than Macom bras But still expensive !
@eevie I’m only 3 days post op, first day I’ve started to feel a bit better. I’ve got a bit of strapping on to just down the middle of my boobs and underneath. I get it off weds and cant wait, it’s so tight! Who was your surgeon? I had mr traynor he doesn’t usually use strapping so not sure why I’ve got it. Have you had unders or overs? Xx
@zewbee ye it’s not overly comfy really, maybe further down the line when I’m more healed but right now I just want something super soft and comfy 🙂 Haha hopefully now I’ve ordered a bigger back size i can get it on if not i give up lol!! Ye they are definitely cheaper, i guess it all adds up though if you are buying multiple bras ! xxx
Hi ladies I’m a 34b now when I’ve had my op I’m supposed to be reaching a f. Do you recommend I get a 36 f then please as need to buy one soon my ops in less than 5 weeks xxx
@eevie they look amazing! You must be so happy?! I had 450 overs, don’t think I could of handled the pain of unders! Bet it’s such a relief having strapping off I’d of hated full strapping, I was gutted at this small amount lol this was from today my swelling has gone down loads! Xx
@danielle101 thank you lovely 🙂 I am really happy with them so far, they’ve got a long way to go in terms of dropping and fluffing but I can’t wait to see what they look like in a few weeks!
Aw yes unders are pretty painful! My left one still feels really sore and I keep getting muscle spasms but it was a bigger implant hopefully it calms down soon!
Your’s look amazing!!! They look like the perfect size for you!
I would have probably gone a little bigger had I been given the chance as I love big boobs but 350/375 was the biggest I could have, I think they fit my frame well though as a UK 6/8.
xx
Yes they definitely suit your frame and we’ve got to remember we won’t see full results for weeks yet! I went with the biggest offered as well and I’m glad I did. Just can’t wait to get the next 6 weeks out the way now and buy pretty bras and clothes! Ha xx
@kirsty no I just used the M&S I’d read mixed reviews about the macom and it put me off so I bought this instead and it is really supportive it’s just a little to tight. I got one from Tesco as well today that was really comfy but it’s to big so I’m going to swap it tomorrow it has gel pads and 2 fastenings at back so you don’t need to put it over your head. Was only £16 as well I really recommend it. This was it but this is a 38 back and was way to loose! X
@eevie I don’t think I’m going to bother with a macom Hun . Not exactly cheap either I’ve heard there around £40!arent they? I’d rather go to m&s and spend £25 knowing they are comfy then spending £40 on a macom lol heard not great things either. Think I’ll just go for the next back size up on the m&s zip one Hun. @danielle thanks for the help Hun . My friend recommended the black & pink zip up one from m&s too and this other one also fromm&s. I have another friend who got one from primark for £8 said it’s really comfortable and soft. And obviously a fraction of the price I’ll upload pics xxx
