My BA Story.

My surgery was Tuesday 29th September 2015 at Preston First Trust Hospital with Dr Andrea. I had 375 unders.

My admission time was 1pm and I was shown straight to my room which was lovely doesn’t even feel like a hospital at all. I had a very long day as I was the last person on the list, the nurses kept coming in and out all day but it wasn’t until 6:30pm Dr Andrea came in and drew on me and informed me that he had another two people before me. By this point I was so emotional as it had been such a long day and I just wanted it over with.
Finally at 7:50pm I was took down for my op, I just remember the nurses speaking to me then the next think I knew I was asleep. What felt like 5 minutes later I was awake and took back to my room. I ended up having to stay in the hospital over night as it was so late when I came round, but the nurses looked after me so well and came and checked on me a few times through the night. The next morning I had breakfast then was able to go, I didn’t really have a lot of pain it was just uncomfortable more then anything.

I only took stronger painkillers for the first 3 days before just taking paracetamol, the pain wasn’t too bad through the day it was mainly just a morning when I was most in pain.
I went for my 1 week check last week with the nurse but I had to have another dressing on so I was told I still couldn’t have a shower or drive. I have my 2 week appointment on Wednesday so I then should be able to shower and drive after that.

I’m now 2 weeks post op and I love my new boobs already, I am currently in an E size sports bra so I can’t wait to get measured to see what size I am.

I really couldn’t recommend MYA and Dr Andrea enough.

Aww glad you are happy i had dr andreas too on 15th sept and like you i was admitted at 1 but i thought i haf a long wait 6.30!! Yours was even longer! Im 4 weeks post op tomorrow and the changes in my boobs has been amazing. I cannot wait to be measured xx.. Dr andreas is lovely puts you at ease and has a lovely manner xx

@dawnc It must have been a long day for you too, are you happy with yours? He really is lovely when I came and drew on me I felt at ease straight always xxx

Ah yes such a long day i never thought i was going to get boobs haha.. Ah yeah im.so happy i had 320 uhp unders from a tiny a cup so literally had nothing.. Been quite uncomfortable and still certain things i do still a bit uncomfortable but its all worth it… i was gutted. When nurse said no shower for another week at my 1 week check haha but now i just cannot wait to soak in the bath and get measured and wear normal bras hahah iv jad to wear a macom band too i woke up with it on and habe to wear it for 30 days so it can come off on thursday cor good… Are you pleased with everything? Xx

@dawnc I know what you mean I’m still uncomfortable reaching for things but hoping it will be ok soon. I know I can’t wait for a bath too it will be lush after 6 weeks.
I am wearing the band too it is so annoying having to wear it all the time isn’t it? Can’t wait to not have to wear that.
Yes I am so far, I just can’t wait to have a nice shower on Wednesday I couldn’t believe they said I had to wait another week xx

Yeah i was the same i was devastated haha…not long! You dont realise how much you cannot do after your op. Amd the band restricts what you can wear too i. Just glad its not summer time x
