Awww no Lucy, I feel for you being in so much pain!!! Could you not get a longer period of pain killers for the pain? especially if Mr Adamo know the implant was sitting on a nerve??? I haven’t been able to find a V cushion.
I really hope the pain subsides Lucy!!! Really do!
Take care and Good luck with healing!!

Hello Jo,Sara and Lucy!!
Hope you are all doing well!!! I’m getting myself a V pillow on Monday, shame about it making your neck and back ache Jo!! Does that mean you shouldn’t actually lie on flat on your back at all then?? Thank you for the reassurance of the clothes issue, although, it keeps on popping up from one girl at work, saying that I won’t be able to fit into anything, but I’m going to prove her wrong!! haha, even if it means cutting 2 holes out for ‘the twins’ hehe!!
You’re right Sara, having this site has made me more determined too! It makes you feel like your not alone, because you’re not!! Saying that, I found out the other day that my friends mum has had a BA too just last week!!! She looks fab!! Would not have realised though.
Awwww sorry for having such a common name Jo hahahah!!! I’m just about to add you on FB!
Happy healing and good luck to all you pre-ops

Ar thats great hun…my man says that aswell, he loves me as i am and loves my boobs etc…but i know he’ll love the new ones, prob even more!! haha he’ll be happire knowing i fele happier anyway…am looking forward to seein the pics…i’m def goin to take before and after pics aswell, for myself but if i can help others by letting them see then i’ll def do that
Yes it is a shame you didnt know about this site before hand, i am soooo glad i found it…it was just after my 1st consultation, its been great, and only made me more determined! x x
I have before and after pics, I wanted to see the comparison and wow are the new ones so much better! Seriously, they don’t look fake at all, I don’t know how he did it.
My other half absolutely loves them, he says he liked the old ones too but I’ve told him to just admit that he prefers the new ones, I think he thinks he’ll hurt my feelings but far from it! Thats why I did it!
Everything really will be fine, I wish I’d known about this forum before I had my surgery, it would have really reassurred me too xx
thanks so much Jo, its lovely to hear stories like this…i dont feel put off, i know swelling and pain is likely to be part of it…
keep thinking, will they suit me…will they look to big or too fake etc! lol keep worrying that my partner will look at me and think i’m fake afterwards etc…all silly really and ive been very reassured by him, bless him…his quite excited himself no i think lol
hanks for your info and advice etc, so good to hear an really does help so much! did you take before and after photos or just after? x x
I was a 32b (I was struggling to fill that tho!) 8 and a half stone and a size 8 I now have the jessica rabbit figure i’ve longer for for like ever! Mr Adamo is great, I wouldn’t worry he will def sort the problem for you. I found out yesterday he is apparently really sought after because his surgery results are so good. I also found out I don’t even have stitches! Just steri strips, so the scars will hardly be visible at all in a few months. My wounds are so neat a tidy, I couldn’t believe it when I saw them!
You will feel fabulous after you’ve had them done, don’t be put off if they swell massively for the first week or so, mine were huge after surgery but have settled already xx
arr thank you so much hun! Yes i’m sure it is totally normal, what size were you before etc? I’m 5’3 about 9 stone and at mo i’m around a 34a/b, odd sizes, which i hate! Having 380 and 410 overs. I’m hoping the size difference wont notice as much afterwards as it does now, makes me so down and consious! xx
I don’t mind at all Sara, i’ll get that sorted this evening. I’ll get my partner to take some tonight as well so you can see what they look like now. Just over a week post op. I bet you’re so excited! They are going to look great, nerves are normal but once its all over you’ll love them! x
Ah Jacqui, so pleased your happy with your new boobs! Can’t wait until I can wear proper bras my pain is easing off more and more each day. Just got to wait for my right one to heal! x
Think i may end up with the same problem by looks of things, havin mine done on 7th October and having different sizes DEf going to invest in the v-pillow though!! really excited but soooo nervous aswell! lol
Jo…would you mind emailing me some pics aswell? hope you dont mind em asking? is so its xsarax@sky.com i’m also on f.b lol sara culley x x
Ah Lucy, I have a similar problem….I’m not in as much pain as you sound but my right is badly bruised and I can’t lift my arm over my head but my left is fine, its even dropped already! But my right is still sitting fairly high and still swollen can’t wait until it improves! My right was smaller than my left too so I assume its the same problem. You have put my mind at rest now tho, I was beginning to worry! Hope you feel better soon, I’ve now also run out of pain killers, you can get co-codamol from tesco or any other pharmacy but its not as strong.
I borrowed my mother in laws v pillow but I had to stop using it, I was waking up with the most awful back and neck pain! I slept on my back last night for the first time and didn’t feel too bad this morning I have to say. A little sore this afternoon though but think thats because I went back to work today. Chin up, just think how awesome the twins will look in a few weeks!
I had myself measured yesterday……..a whopping 32E!!!!! Even though the right is still a little painful they look amazing!
Wendy, trust me your clothes will look great I couldn’t find you on facebook, too many people with your name (how dare they haha) add me, its just Jo Worrow. I’ll email some pics soon, just need to put them on the computer xx
Hi jacqui, ktlun
Thanks. They told me to use a hot water bottle and it is really helping. First thing in the morning is the worst as you have lay stiff for so many hours. I got my v cushon from argos to. I couldnt live without it. Take it to the hospital with you so you can put it under your boobs in the car on the way home. It comes with me in the car on all journeys at the min, becuase what with my right boob being on a nerve i can feel ever bump in the road. You are not allowed to lie flat in bed either so thats the best at night. They told me id got to go onto normal painkillers now that id finished my course If both my boobs felt like my left id say this was a dodal. But what with my right im really struggling, especially having to young babies to lift. x x x
Ah, fantastic Jacqui, I’ll try argos then! thank you
Wendy x x x
Awww Lucy, big hug, sorry that you’re in a lot of pain at the moment. Physically getting out of bed in the morning is the worst, as you have to lever yourself up! Best to try and use your stomach mussles rather than your arms. Really hope you’re feeling better soon.
Wendy – you can get the V pillow in Argos, only about
:bigsmile:Well, I finally took the plunge and had my BA last wednesday, so a week tomorrow for me. Can I just say, before anything else, I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW BOOBS!!!!!
I arrived at Highgate hospital at 11am on 2nd September, I was a nervous wreck and absolutely terrified! I’ve never had any sort of surgery before and had all the usual thoughts running through my mind, am i doing the right thing? will they look awful? will anything fo wrong? etc….
I waited in reception for about 15-20 minutes and was then showed to my room, which I have to say, was pretty impressive! Ensuite, flat screen tv, comfy bed etc. The lift then broke down so I was moved to a ground floor room, right next to the theatre. The nurse came and did my BP, took measurements for my calves (for my sexy DVT stockings! haha) and checked my weight and height.
The anaestitist and Mr Adamo came to see me, they were very reassuring. Mr Adamo had to take photos and draw on me, felt a bit strange with my partner sitting in the room but what the hell! It was worth it.
At 1230pm the nurse came to get me, I was shaking like a leaf and nearly hyper-ventilating. I was told to calm down and breath properly and the anaestitist started chatting away trying to take my mind off of it. The canula, which I was most worried about believe it or not, didn’t really hurt much at all. I felt the anaestetic going up my arm which did sting a little, but I was out in no time.
When I came round I was a bit confused, asked the nurse when I was having my op to be told it had already been done! It was 1345 when I looked at the clock on the wall.
I was wheeled back to my room where my partner had been waiting, I drank 3 jugs of water! My throat was really sore from the tube and my lips were chapped but other than that I felt fine! No pain at all.
I had a sandwich which took me an hour to eat and my partner was even allowed to order some food, his dinner looked lovely! Lamb cutlets with potato and veg! It only cost
Hi Jo
I had my op on the 2nd sept at highgate with mr Adamo the same as you. I am 1 week post op today. I however am in a great deal of pain lol. My left one is fine, no pain at all and can lift above my head and im having to pick my kids up that side to get them out of the cot, into bath etc… however my right.. is a completely different story!!!!!!!! its agony! Had my post op with karen reeves yesterday, and luckerly for me Mr Adamo was there. He told me that the reason i was in so much pain is because, my right one was smaller. He said that tyhe implant is sitting on a nerve ending and could take upto 6 weeks to feel anywhere better. Apparently your nerves run up the side of your boob from your arm pit to your nipple. Because this boob is smaller, its closer to my armpit, leaning on a nerve. And im in soooooooooooo much pain. Im got 2 children under 2, and ive had to get a diffrent family member everyday this week to come and physically push me up out of bed! For anyone pre op, buy a v cushon!!!! this has been a god send!!! x x x
hahahaha, thanks for the reassurance about the clothes!! Actually I think you’re right, all the clothes that look good will look even better with bigger boobs!!! hehe!!!
I actually hope I lose a bit of sensitivity because every month leading up to my period I always have extra sensitive nipples, so I reckon if I lose a little bit of feeling it might be a relief for me!!!! lol.
Wow Jo, that would be so amazing if you could email me a before and after picture please?? I would love to see your results, and hope that I get as good as yours too!
hahaha, very true, a few days of greasy hair will be totally compensated with amazing boobs!!! ) hehe. It’s funny because the more I talk to you about you BA the more and more I’m getting sooo excited!!!!!!
Do you have facebook Jo???? If you do, add me…Wendy Hughes
Happy healing Jo and Jacqui!!!

Hi Jo
Happy to help with any questions, don’t worry about asking! I asked more than my fair share of questions on the run up to my ba, so only happy to help
I’ve had no numbness in my nipples, i know a lot of people do, but i could feel them straight away! Very sensitive actually. I just had a small area of numbness at the bottom of my right boob. This is the only area that i had a lot of bruising on, so might be connected? The bruising has nearly faded now, and the numbness has nearly gone. They have dropped and soften up so much in the last week, and i just love them I’d wanted a ba for over 10 years, and wish i’d taken the plunge years ago, i now have perfect boobs!!!!! xx
I still fit into all of my clothes! There is far more give in them than I realised, I even still fit into my tight bodycon dresses and boned tops. You won’t need to go much, if any bigger, clothes sizes. I thought I’d be chucking a load of stuff out but it just looks tons better than before. I couldn’t resist trying all my clothes on!
Mr Adamo has done a brilliant job for me, I still can’t get over how natural they look. The only thing is I am still quite numb but I have been told it could be some time before the sensitivity returns. Only the nipple and area just below it though. I have pictures which I can email you if you like.
I bet you’re so excited at the thought of new boobs!
Oh and the dry shampoo works really well, so what if you have greasy hair anyway, you’ll have fabulous boobs 🙂
Jacqui, how are you doing at 3 weeks? Have you lost any feeling or anything? Have they softened considerably? Sorry to bombard you with questions, just curious! Hope you’re healing well too hun xx
Wow Jo, I’m pleased you can see your toes!! hahaha! I love hearing about your story!!! I’m with Mr Adamo Yes I think we all have one boob bigger than the other, thank goodness not for much longer!!!! yay!
Thats good that you have managed to do most things!! That’s a good idea to wear shirts, I was thinking that I might have to wear zippy tops, but I suppose if you can stretch the vesty tops then they will be fine too ) I have bought some of that dry shampoo, but wasn’t too sure how long you could use it until it was time to actually wash your hair!! My hair nearly reaches my bum!! lol!
It’s funny because whenever I go into clothes shops I keep looking at the sized bras that I will be able to wear!!!! sad or what!! lol. Oh jo, just another question to ask…Clothes sizes! Do you think you will have to go up in clothes size to accommodate your new boobies?? my friends have all said ‘you won’t be a size 6-8 anymore, and you won’t be able to fits into your clothes anymore’ and it does worry me a little when they say that!!
Wendy

Congratulations Jo so happy for you!
Mr Adamo did my op at Highgate 3 weeks ago tomorrow, he is just amazing.
Take care and happy healing hun xx
great story, reading all this just makes us even more determined and excited! i;ve got Mr Adamo on 7th October, it cant come quick enough! keep us updated with how you are etc wont you…and thanks for sharing your experience with us ;~) x x
Hi Jo- i AM DUE TO SEE dR.aDAMO AND dR.sINGH NEXT WEEK.i HOPE THEY CAN FIX ME WITHOUT THE UPLIFT AFTER4KIDS AND WEIGHT LOSS.yOU SOUND SO HAPPY, i WANT TO FEEEL LIKE A WOMAN AGAIN!!eNJOY:)XX-Oooops, sorry just realised I had caps lock on wrong!
Thanks for sharing Jo – sounds like fun!!! You make it sound like its no big deal!!!!! Glad everything went ok for you xx
Oh and just to add, by the time I had my surgery I was struggling to fill a 32b bra…..I lost about a stone and my chest was the first place I lost it from! I hit rock bottom when I had to buy a 34a, I have never been particularly big anyway and have always been unhappy with my size x
Sorry clicked the wrong button before I could finish! I haven’t been showering, just having shallow baths because your not to get the wounds wet for the first 10 days I believe. I have my first post op appt tomorrow so I will see my wounds for the first time. I managed to wash my own hair, not particularly easy tho! Haha. I leant over into the bath to wash my hair but dry shampoo works wonders so I’d rather do that now!
I haven’t found it too difficult getting dressed to be honest, I wore shirts for the first couple of days but have since been wearing vests and t shirts, its too hot for anything else! I put my arms in first then stretch the neck over my head so I don’t lift my arms too high. Your body soon tells you when it doesn’t like it!
I can see my toes! Haha. so don’t panic. My right breast was very swollen at first, but now it has settled down and they both look so natural and they are the same size, I always had one bigger than the other (my left bigger than my right but apparently this is the same for all women) but this seems to have corrected the problem.
They ballooned the night I had them done but they look brilliant now! I have bruising but its not really that bad and the discomfort wears off as each day goes by.
I bet you are so excited! Who’s doing yours? You won’t regret it, I love my new boobs! They actually look amazing and have given me a new confidence already.
Jo xx
Ahh thanks Wendy
Wow joworrow!!! I am sooooo happy for you!! You fill me with so much joy!!! just a week to go for me, and hearing another happy and amazing story makes me even more excited!!! How were you with baths and showers?? and washing your hair??? Is it difficult putting clothes on?? My bf thinks that I won’t be able to see my toes when I have my BA, I’m hoping for 410cc like yourself, please say you can see your toes?? hahaha
Congratulations on you BA hun, and happy recovery!!!
Keep us updated on how you’re doing!!
